DOROTHY COLLINS WEAVER, CHAIRMAN & CEO OF COLLINS CAPITAL INVESTMENTS TO RECEIVE 100 WOMEN IN HEDGE FUNDS’ INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP AWARD

100 Women in Hedge Funds today announced that Dorothy Collins Weaver, Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder of Collins Capital Investments LLC., will be awarded the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Industry Leadership Award at its New York Gala on November 17, 2010, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

Each year, the organization honors a woman whose professional talent, business ethic, and passion for investing help define and advance the hedge fund industry's standards of excellence. Past awardees include Kathryn A. Hall, Hall Capital Partners; Sonia Gardner, Avenue Capital; Jane Mendillo, Harvard Management Company and Anne Dinning, D. E. Shaw group.

Mrs. Weaver is an icon among hedge fund managers and investors. She stands out as a savvy, pioneering hedge fund investor in the family office, ultra high net worth, endowment and foundation communities. Mrs. Weaver, along with her brother, founded Collins Capital in the early '90s, one of the first family offices to actively invest in hedge funds. The firm launched its first hedge fund of funds in 1995.

Announcing the selection, Lauren Malafronte, Managing Director, Barclays Capital and Board member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds Foundation said, "The Board is thrilled to honor Dorothy. She is truly an inspiration and her breadth of impact has made her a role model for the hedge fund community."

Mrs. Weaver is the former Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank in Miami and served as Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors for the State of Florida. Mrs. Weaver was instrumental in rewriting the banking laws for the State of Florida, which resulted in transforming Miami into an international finance and banking center.

She was a founding Director of Enterprise Florida, an innovative public-private partnership that replaced Florida’s Department of Commerce. She served as Chairman of the Business Leadership Council and Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She also served as Chairman of the Governor’s Commission on Education Workforce Committee.

Mrs. Weaver graduated with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) from Wellesley College where she served on the Board of Trustees for 17 years and chaired the finance committee. She also served on the Investment Committee of the American Red Cross in Washington D.C. Mrs. Weaver has received the "Business Leader Hall of Fame Award", "Leader of the Year Award", "Women Who Make A Difference Award" and "The Community Headliner Award".

Mrs. Weaver will accept the award at the 100 Women in Hedge Funds Gala in New York City on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Cipriani 42nd Street. This year’s theme is Mentoring with proceeds from the New York Gala going to support Big Brothers Big Sisters’ successful Beyond School Walls
