CES Unveiled Tokyo is an industry event for credentialed members of the press, industry analysts, the investor community and tech industry influencers. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in Tokyo, Japan.

During CES Unveiled Tokyo, CEA executives will debut regional and global research and provide the latest CES news, covering product trends coming from the 2015 International CES and leading up to the inaugural 2015 International CES AsiaTM.

“This startup panel discussion is illustrative of the high level of technology industry expertise and prominence of Japan beyond just legacy brands in the consumer electronics industry,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA. “As Japan looks to be a global leader in innovation, it’s the startup scene that will set the tone and stage for things to come.”

An editorial writer at Nikkei, Inc., the largest economic daily newspaper in Asia, Sekiguchi will moderate the startup panel from 3-3:30 PM and will use his more than 20-years’ experience covering the IT industry and cyberspace issues to lead a dynamic discussion with Shinichi Saijo, co-founder and general partner, WiL LLC and Takuma Iwasa, president and CEO, Cerevo Inc. WiL LLC, one of Japan’s largest VC funds, uses its platform and capital to help U.S. and Japanese startups grow into lasting global ventures.
