Sir Winston, a five-year-old Australian Labradoodle, loves learning new tricks and is a huge hockey fan. A few of his tricks include playing volleyball, dunking basketballs, catching frisbees and playing hockey goalie! The Vegas Golden Knights are his favorite hockey team and he loves watching them play and going to their practices. His video of playing goalie on Twitter was posted by the Golden Knights and has garnered over 109,000 views! You can check it out on his Twitter page @doodle_winston where it is pinned. Or click here for a direct link Sign Him Up

His super-fan status has led him to be on the local news many times, including a year-end special on the Golden Knights. He has made many fun videos with cool tricks in support of the Knights, including one for each round of the playoffs and a two-parter for the NHL Awards show. His favorite video is the one where he runs through the desert with his lantern warning Las Vegas that the enemy hockey team has arrived. It can be seen at Warn the City! You can see many of his videos on his Instagram at @winston_da_doodle.

Of particular note, Sir Winston is especially excited to announce that he and his dog pal Bark-André Furry are planning a special fall Dog Cotillion to raise money for a local animal charity. There will be a buffet for the dogs, music, photographers, swag bags and more! It is bound to be the soiree of the season! Check out his Instagram and Twitter for more details soon!

But his life isn’t all Las Vegas glitz and glamorous parties. He works at his human’s law office. People often come to the office upset and nervous and Sir Winston’s job is to help them relax and feel happy again. He takes his job very seriously and will sit on his client’s foot and have them pet him during meetings. He feels this calms them. Even people who are scared of dogs love his sweet and gentle nature and often leave the office with a new canine friend. There are other law offices in town now who request his presence for depositions!

He also loves visiting hospitals and retirement homes. Recently, he was honored to be a part of the Golden Knights fan family that went to visit Sai, a brave young boy and Golden Knights fan (@_teamSai on Instagram) who was recovering from heart surgery in the hospital. It melted his fuzzy heart to have Sai pet his head. Whether cheering his Golden Knights on or cheering people up, his goal is the same: to make people smile.  We are absolutely thrilled to present Sir Winston as our latest Peachy's Pet Pal!  Dame Peachy Deegan interviewed Sir Winston for Whom You Know.

Dame Peachy Deegan: Las Vegas is the newest expansion city in the NHL; what made it the best candidate for a new team?
Sir Winston: Pets and their people move here for the sunny skies, but often miss all the fun they had at a hockey games. Transplants and native Las Vegans alike had enthusiastically supported the minor league hockey teams that were here over the years….so, while many did not believe that hockey could happen in the desert, everyone here rallied around the possibility that we’d have our own NHL team!

Please comment on your love for hockey and what makes it so awesome.

I grew up watching my biped sister play the game… her speed and skating on those thin blades was so exciting I would actually run from the car to get to the rink! During those games, my eyes were glued to the action; my dad says I looked like I was watching a tennis match! Now I go to City National Arena to watch the Golden Knights practice and watch all the games on TV. It is thrilling!

Please tell us about your other sports interests.

I love to go paddleboarding, play beach volleyball, and hike in the desert with my family.

What do you love most about the Las Vegas Golden Knights?

What can I say here? What they did for our city after October 1st will never be forgotten by our community. Mostly newcomers themselves, they helped to heal a city and build community from broken hearts. They are just such an exceptional group of guys and the chemistry just explodes on ice when they’re playing! Even we canines can’t contain ourselves; I love them win or lose!

Who are your favorite players and why?

William “Wild Bill” Karlsson because I love his flow and Marc-André Fleury because I love to play goal like him!

When making one of your signature videos, how do you direct your human team to execute them properly?

My human team knows exactly what I’m looking for…I like to have them play to my obviously “huggable” features. The only part I’m still working on with them is getting the camera angles right so we can get it all done in one take!

What are your ideas for upcoming videos?

I’m currently working out a guest spot to do the weather report for a local news station, but the video I'm most excited about is a pre-season mystery video where the VGK Victory Flamingo is missing and Inspector Sure-like Bones (played by yours truly) would lead friends and fans on a hunt to locate the Victory Flamingo before the season starts!

What should everybody know about your human pal, Sai?

Sai is a super brave young man who has had multiple heart surgeries. He is quick to smile, even when he doesn’t feel well, and loves dogs!

What should the world know about your canine pal, Bark-André Furry?

Bark-André is a great dog and a good friend. What most people don’t know (if they haven’t been to a Golden Knights practice) is that he loves to “coach” the players on the ice by barking tips to them as they skate by! Oh, and he really is that adorable!

What do you think will clinch the Stanley Cup for Las Vegas in future days?

What makes this team really special is that the culture of the team top to bottom is about working and playing for each other. I can’t wait to see the Stanley Cup paraded down the strip!

Has dog food ever been eaten out of the Cup, and if Las Vegas wins it would you like to eat out of it or drink Champagne?

I remember hearing about Nolan Pratt’s dogs eating out of the cup a few years back. Lapping up some champagne would be amazing, of course! But personally, I would be more interested in eating meatballs out of it, like Luc Robitaille did!

How many plastic flamingoes do you own and do you name them?

I do have 2 flamingoes, one that I carry around in my mouth during the game and one that goes out front of my house after a win.

If so what are their names?

Their names are Goldie & Knight

Please tell us about your law career.

I’m no legal beagle, but I do attend my share of de-paw-sitions, I mean, depostions. My law career has changed so much since I started. I have gone from simply greeting clients at the door with a lick or a smile to having clients requesting that I go with them during depositions and mediations.

Is there a law school for dogs and if not are you going to start one?

A law school for dogs is a great idea! I can imagine the admissions process would be fierce, starting with competitive placement for top-notch puppy preschools and kindergartens (no dog ate my homework excuses here!), leading to the all-important search to hire a top canine college consultant, and of course to having to get top scores on the NO-CAT (New Optimized Canine Aptitude Test)!

What kinds of law practices should dogs dabble in?

Well, the courtroom is often seen as being a dog eat dog world. Yet, we pups are naturally good at doggedly sniffing out the truth. So, I feel that being a judge is a paw-rfect fit for pooches. They could hound down sentences for cur-imes, and mutt-demeanors.

What or who has had the most influence on your pursuit of excellence?

I had two older dog sisters that I lost this year. They were the most amazing role models I could have asked for. They inspired me by how quickly they learned new tricks and how silly they could be. They would even invent new tricks simply to entertain the family. I try to bring that kind of joy to my family every day.

What are you proudest of and why?

I’m proud of my ability to cheer people up, especially when I can change a sad face to a smiling one.

What is your favorite toy and why?

I used to have a stuffed whale and a rubber pig that really got me going; sadly, they couldn’t take the pressure of play every day and have since disintegrated. Today, it would have to be Ellie the Elephant. I got her for my birthday. It has a squeaker in each foot!

What do you get in trouble for and why is that not fair?

I can’t really say that I get in trouble for much; but every once in a while, when I’m giving out too many kisses and begging for belly rubs from someone other than my Dad for too long, I think he might get jealous. It’s not fair because he loves sharing me with others in the first place!

What do you take your sense of identity from?

There are some really terrific roles models out there; Benji, Rin Tin Tin, Lassie….and my identity is built somewhat on their brave, giving and warm temperaments, but really who I am is a result of the love and caring I receive from my family and all the wonderful people I meet in my town every day.

What is your favorite place to be?

Sitting next to my Dad on the glass at City National Arena watching the Golden Knights practice.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you at a cocktail party?

At a recent event, I was served sparkling water instead of Dög Pawrignon because I was the “designated passenger.”

Who would you like to be for a day and why?

George McPhee, GM of the Golden Knights so that I could draft myself as the backup goalie!

What has been your best athletic experience?

Skiijoring in the Berkshires.

If you could have dinner with any person or animal living or passed, who would it be and why?

It would be amazing to have dinner with my hero Marc-André Fleury and show him my goalie skills in person!

What has been your best art or music experience?

I’m lucky enough to have had two special Instagram fans of mine illustrate me. I think the sketches are great and I am so touched that these wonderful people who took the time to create special artworks of me! Pencil Drawing by @woodenshooz and Illustration by @sunstone815

What do you personally do or what have you done to give back to the world?

On top of my legal work and visiting of hospitals and senior homes, I am most excited about the upcoming fundraiser that Bark André Furry and I are planning to raise money for local dog shelters.

Other than Peachy's Pet Pals of course, what is your favorite WhomYouKnow.com column and what do you like about it?

I have to say NHL Peachy is my favorite column because it offers a great take on hockey, although you currently feature a photo showing the moment of my greatest heartbreak- losing to the Capitals at home in Game 5!
[Note from the Editor: It has been since updated and now features the #WinterClassic at the top.  Sir Winston responded on Twitter:

Have you been to Manhattan and if not what would you like to do if the NHL invites you to their offices on Sixth Avenue?

I love Manhattan! The smells of all the food trucks and restaurants are so mouth-watering my mom and dad usually have to pull me away! I haven’t been to the NHL headquarters yet, but I would like to go so I could give Gary Bettman a big, slobbery kiss for helping to bring a hockey team to Las Vegas, and if the Stanley Cup happens to be there, I would love to get a photo of me sitting in it!

What else would you like to do in Manhattan?

I think I’d love an afternoon romp in Central Park!

What should everyone know about the City of Las Vegas?

That we are a real city with real community: dog parks, schools, firefighters, friends and families. Oh, and not all of us live in casinos!

What should everyone know about the Golden Knights?

That they are just getting started; the best is yet to come!

What are your future dreams and aspirations?

True confession: I sometimes fantasize about the Golden Knights carrying me around in the Cup after they win! Seriously though, I hope to go on a road trip to visit other hockey towns and meet their dog fans! I’d also like to be the first doggie goalie to play in net for my Golden Knights team, even if it were just for a practice game. But most of all I dream of one day being with my Golden Knights when they win the Stanley Cup!

What else should Whom You Know readers know about you?

If you ever meet me and I sit on your foot, that means that I consider us good friends. Coincidentally, it is also a practical way of trapping someone into petting me for longer!

How would you like to be contacted by Whom You Know readers?

Please email my mom-ager Dori at dori@arinfamily.com or direct message me on my Instagram @winston_da_doodle. Thank you very much!
