Champagne Wishes: Whom You Know Highly Recommends ALBEMARLE ROSÉ 2009

Previously, we have covered Patricia Kluge in Advantageous Auctions:

We are pleased to kick off our coverage of the Kluge Estate Winery!  We begin with the fabulous Albemarle Rose, a dry French-style rosé that will invigorate your senses and delight your palate.   This blended dry rosé wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on fine lees, producing a complex wine similar to a premium light claret from Bordeaux.  The blend is comprised from lots made with both the bleed method and direct press.  After an early harvest and small extraction of color, the wine has heightened aroma and acidity – as well as a delightful hue.   It is balanced with a lovely bouquet of juicy notes for the summer and is perfect to pop in your picnic basket to the park.  Its brilliance in hue and taste has simply delighted Peachy Deegan and we highly recommend it!  So crisp and fresh, the Albemarle Rose will please you too.

Tasting Notes
Albemarle Rosé is a vibrant, bright pink. The round, crisp wine offers flavor reminiscent of cherry – juicy, but dry echoing the spirit of South of France in the summertime. The nose is complex and floral with an essence of rose petal and fresh, peach hints.  Of course anything that has peach hints is a huge hit with us!  The wine is best when served chilled at approximately 48° F.

Pairing Recommendations
The blend of premium Bordeaux varietals in this steely, dry rosé pairs well with most dishes, including Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican cuisines.  Also, this is an ideal wine for vegetarian meals.
