It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Aldi.
It is common knowledge that Peachy is mostly at a restaurant.
However, sometimes she actually eats at home.
What does she eat?
Well, you read about it in Peachy's Pantry.

From Aldi, her favorites that you can actually find in her possession at all times are:
Rye Bread
Irish Butter

And, there are good deals at Aldi and everyone should love that.
Also, we found the hospitality and manners outstanding by all employees this morning at the opening of the Times Square location.

#ChezPeachy #DAYLIGHT ICFF 2026: A SEAMLESS INFUSION OF DESIGN, CULTURE, AND COMMERCE IN NEW YORK Under the theme Common Ground, ICFF 2026 brought together the international design community through a shared focus on craftsmanship and innovation

ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair), North America’s leading platform for contemporary design, returned to the Javits Center May 17–19, 2026, for a landmark edition that celebrated the global design community during NYCxDESIGN.  As usual according to Whom You Know the Italian Trade Agency and Business France were among the most impressive; Peachy Deegan would like to see a Made in the USA section in the future and also would like to see more engaging brand owners in person next time.

Guided by the theme, Common Ground: A Global Dialogue on Design and Shared Values, this year’s edition positioned design as a connective force across different cultures and design perspectives. Through international exhibitions, immersive installations, and expanded programming, ICFF created an environment that encouraged conversation and discovery across the design community.

“ICFF 2026 reflected the kind of thoughtful evolution we believe the design industry is actively seeking,” said ICFF Brand Directors Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat. “There was a strong sense of engagement throughout the fair, from the conversations happening on the show floor to the depth of the talks programming and the quality of presentations from exhibitors. This edition demonstrated how design can bring people together while also creating meaningful business opportunities. We also saw continued momentum around emerging talent and independent design through the growth of curated sections such as Launch Pad and Look Book, alongside a particularly strong international presence from Brazil and India. Overall, the quality of attendees and level of engagement throughout the fair remained exceptionally strong.”

Attendees experienced an immersive floor plan conceived by RADS (Rodolfo Agrella Design Studio), resulting in a more elevated and intuitive journey throughout the show floor. The fair also unveiled new curatorial partnerships and mission-driven initiatives, including ICFF’s first-ever collaboration with Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester, reinforcing the role of design as a tool for positive social impact. The Parsons Healthy Materials Lab, led by Jonsara Ruth, presented a new exhibition exploring bio-based materials, healthier alternatives, and forward-thinking production processes through a dynamic series of talks and workshops.

Craftsmanship took center stage in the expanded Bespoke: The Art of Making feature, presented in partnership with Hospitality Design and the Mayfair Design District. At the center of the installation was the Bespoke Salon, designed by Post Company, an intimate and thoughtfully designed space that hosted live demonstrations, presentations, and daily conversations and drew strong audiences throughout the fair. Another standout installation, Rarify brought together original Bauhaus archival materials and contemporary production through a landmark collaboration between Rarify, Tecta, and the Bauhaus Archive Berlin in a first-of-its-kind presentation at ICFF.

WANTED also returned with expanded participation across Launch Pad, Look Book, and the Schools Showcase, reinforcing ICFF’s continued commitment to emerging talent and original design. The Look Book program, curated this year with Julia Haney Montanez and presented with media partner Dezeen, spotlighted more than 60 North American design studios, while Launch Pad featured more than 80 emerging designers and the Schools Showcase expanded to include 24 schools, its largest participation to date.

More than 110 designers, editors, architects, and thought leaders participated in talks and special programming across the Main Stage, The Oasis, Bespoke Salon, Aqua Atelier by GROHE, and the Juniper Recharge Lounge, drawing a huge audience over the three days. Conversations explored topics ranging from material innovation and affordable housing to sustainability, emerging technologies, and global collaboration.

Programming highlights included A Message for Mamdani, moderated by Julie Lasky of The New York Times; The State of Affairs in Design Media, hosted by Tiffany Jow of Untapped; and Design as Diplomacy: Soft Power, Hard Materials with Amit Gupta of STIR. The fair also expanded its Emerging Designer Spotlight initiative, developed in partnership with Clever and Amy Devers and sponsored by Danver.

As ICFF concluded its final May edition, the fair also marked the beginning of a significant new chapter. Beginning in 2027, ICFF will transition to a fall schedule, with the inaugural edition taking place November 14–16, 2027, at the Javits Center alongside BDNY. ICFF and BDNY will remain two distinct, independently curated trade fairs, each with its own identity, audience, and programming. Taking place concurrently at the Javits Center, they will deliver complementary experiences that together create a broader, more dynamic platform for the broader design industry. Announced only days before the fair’s opening, the move reflects years of industry feedback and a strategic evolution that aims to align more closely with the global fair calendar while establishing New York as a broader and more impactful design destination. Throughout the fair, exhibitors, partners, and attendees responded enthusiastically to the announcement and the opportunities the new timing will permit.

In partnership with NYCxDESIGN and Interni magazine, ICFF Night Out welcomed hundreds of designers, media, and VIP guests on May 15 for a curated series of evening events across NoMad and SoHo at the Flos, Lixil, and Moroso showrooms.

From May 15–19, ICFF and AvroKO presented Form and Feeling at Host on Howard as part of ICFF’s inaugural Look Book Offsite program. The well-attended exhibition brought together independent North American design studios exploring contemporary form and traditional materiality and featured works by 16 invited Look Book designers, including Cuff Studio, Ian Love, Kate Dannessa, Coil + Drift, Vy Voi, Thomas Yang, and Simon Johns.

Dates for ICFF 2027 are set for November 14–16, 2027.

#ChampagneWishes #KeepingAmericaonTop #MadeintheUSA #WorldClass Celebrate May with Northwest Passage Gin by #MoverandShaker #CharlesFerri at the #HudsonHouseDistillery

The Distillery at Hudson House

Our craft distillery is located in the cellar of a former monastery and uses custom made equipment from Kothe distilling systems in Germany.

Part of what makes our spirits so special is the water from an onsite old artesian well that taps into a Catskill aquifer. As that water travels to Hudson House, it passes over limestone creating our naturally soft mineral water we call our "Holy Water" which is used in all of our craft spirits.

We use select New York State grains supporting local farms for our spirit production in small batches. Our portfolio consists of Black Creek Bourbon, Black Creek Empire Rye, Black Creek Aniversario Bourbon, Black Creek Devil’s Cut and Altair Vodka. Keep on the look out for our latest releases including a New York State Gin.

A Historic Waterfront Property

In the 1850’s, Archibald Russell, a known philanthropist and founder of Ulster County Savings in Kingston, built a home for his family on an estate known as Glen Albyn. Archibald died in 1871 and his widow, Helen, sold the Glen Albyn estate to the Durkee family in 1885. The Durkee’s were proprietors of one of the country’s leading spice businesses and eventually condiment producers. They purchased the property as a wedding gift for their daughter and owned it until it was purchased in the 1920’s by the Christian Brotherhood and for the next 100+ years, the historic estate served as a working monastery known as the Santa Maria Novitiate.

We are proud to be the 4th owner in over 170 years, and equally proud to introduce, The Hudson House & Distillery. We have committed to restore and maintain the property’s natural beauty in keeping with the original Italian Villa Revival style of architecture. We encourage you to explore the old buildings and truly experience this unique and special property in the heart of Hudson Valley.

Per usual our 17-year policy, internal delegation is ineligible and outside production companies and PR are strictly prohibited.  We are not Whom You Know through a third party.

BDNY tells Whom You Know:

Immersive spaces, curated networking, and a dynamic exhibitor lineup anchor a standout year for the boutique and lifestyle hospitality community.

Boutique Design New York (BDNY), the premier trade fair and conference for the boutique and lifestyle hospitality industry, transformed the Javits Center into a vibrant crossroads for boutique and lifestyle hospitality, drawing more than 16,000 industry professionals for two days of discovery, dialogue, and design. Attendees moved through a diverse showcase of 750+ exhibitors, a forward-looking conference program featuring over 180 speakers, and a series of gatherings designed to spark meaningful connection.

“BDNY 2025 captured the creativity, curiosity, and momentum driving hospitality design forward,” says Tim Fearney, Show Director, BDNY. “With 11,000 qualified attendees, up 6% over 2024, representing over 50 countries and nearly 200 new exhibitors joining us, the event reflected a global community that is eager to experiment, collaborate, and build what comes next. From the energy on the floor to the celebrations surrounding the Platinum Circle Gala and Gold Key Awards, this year’s edition showcased the thinkers and makers redefining our industry. BDNY remains the place where those conversations begin.”

DESIGNED SPACES

This year, BDNY invited attendees into a series of immersive environments that transformed the show floor into a living study of hospitality design. The BD Mainstage, titled “La Clairière” (The Glade) and designed by global firm Saguez & Dash, created a serene woodland setting for headline conversations. Nearby, the BD Hub, designed and sponsored by Wayfair, became a lively destination for emerging ideas, with sessions exploring new technologies, the rise of sensory and emotional design, inclusive environments, and the shift toward sentient environments that respond to human behavior. Across both areas, designers, brands, and thought leaders gathered in settings that encouraged inspiration and community throughout the two-day event.

Presented in an expanded format for 2025, Dine & Design offered a vibrant look at the products and ideas shaping restaurant and bar environments today. At its center was The Alchemist, a fully operational café space designed by the Aria Group that demonstrated how atmosphere, materials, lighting, and service combine to create an experience. With constant activity and steady foot traffic, the installation showed how hospitality design comes alive when it is placed directly in motion.

Three additional Designed Spaces brought distinctive storytelling and creative vision to the show floor. Châlet Après by Mazzarini & Co for Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy reinterpreted the warmth of an alpine retreat through crafted textures, layered materials, and a modern residential sensibility. The Splash Pad by DREAM Hotels and Nivek Remas captured the energy of poolside culture with mirrored surfaces, bold geometry, and immersive sound. Midnight Garden by DesignAgency unfolded as a dreamlike landscape of light, movement, and rich color that invited visitors into a world of reflection and mood. Together, these environments highlighted the many ways design can transport, surprise, and shape the guest journey. More information about the Designed Spaces can be found here.

BDNY once again honored standout achievements in product innovation and exhibit design. A full day of family sports competitions, dance, music, and discovery — because the colors of well-being belong to everyone.

A Project, promoted by the Pancrazio Foundation

In recent years, changes in children’s eating habits and lifestyles have led to a worrying increase in overweight and nutritional deficiencies. A simple diet plan is often not enough. To address this educational and social emergency, the “5 Colors” Project was launched in 2021 by the Pancrazio Foundation, with the goal of promoting healthy eating and active lifestyles. The project focuses on schools as privileged places for learning and on families as everyday points of reference.

The initiative is based on playful learning, featuring five positive superheroes – the DI5 – who gain special powers by eating fruits and vegetables. The five colors of well-being (orange, purple, white, red, and green) become a fun and motivating way for children to discover and enjoy healthy foods.

In addition to encouraging the consumption of fruits and vegetables, 5 Colors spreads the principles of the Mediterranean Diet, which was ranked by U.S. News & World Report in 2025 as the best diet in the world among 38 dietary patterns analyzed. Despite its scientifically proven benefits, adherence to the Mediterranean model remains low. For this reason, the project starts with children — to reach families and entire communities.

The “5 Colors” Project is now arriving in the United States for the first time, bringing the values of the Mediterranean Diet to schools belonging to the Italian Educational System Abroad (SFIM). With the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which has long promoted Made in Italy and a food culture that combines quality, health, and sustainability, the project blends education, creativity, and entertainment.

Through an animated series produced in collaboration with Warner Bros/Discovery and a traveling educational kit, children explore fruits and vegetables, the five senses, and the symbolic gesture of the “high five” — a universal sign of unity, sharing, and mutual respect.

As part of the international tour, the “Di5 – Create Your Story” Contest invites children around the world to invent a story featuring the Super Five, which could become an official episode of the Di5 animated series aired on Frisbee Channel.

The U.S. tour includes key stops and public events supported by the Consulate General of Italy in New York and CONI – Italian National Olympic Committee, U.S. Delegation:November 14: Official Presentation at the Consulate General of Italy in New York, with Italian institutions and international partners.
November 16: Five Colors Festival in Central Park, a public event dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet, conviviality, and the value of togetherness.
November 17: Cooking Show at Eataly Flatiron New York, celebrating Italian creativity, tradition, and food culture.
November 19: Closing event at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, with educational activities for schools and an in-depth look at the cultural, educational, and health values of the Mediterranean Diet.

This initiative integrates Italy’s school-based educational experience with international public events, reinforcing the Foundation’s mission: to educate children worldwide about healthy, mindful living through the Mediterranean Diet, imagination, and the universal values of friendship, solidarity, and respect.

The project also announced a partnership with the Campagna Amica Foundation, which has long supported initiatives that teach young people the culture of healthy food and the value of living together.
The contribution of ICE – the Italian Trade Agency

The Italian Trade Agency (ICE), a public body that promotes the internationalization of Italian companies and supports the growth and competitiveness of Made in Italy worldwide, will also contribute to the project, helping create synergies between the Foundation and Italian businesses abroad.
Statements
“Promoting Made in Italy means spreading around the world not only our products but also our cultural identity, made of quality, tradition, and innovation. The Five Colors project perfectly embodies this spirit and our ability to combine education, sustainability, and internationalization,”
said Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
“Through the Five Colors project, we will promote the principles of the Mediterranean Diet here in the United States — a way to bring the American public, starting with the youngest, closer to our lifestyle, culture, and the excellence of our agri-food sector,”
underlined Marco Peronaci, Ambassador of Italy to the United States.
“Initiatives like this best represent Italy and its values,” said Fabrizio Di Michele, Consul General of Italy in New York.
“New York is certainly the U.S. city most familiar with the Mediterranean Diet and Italian culinary traditions, yet the need for stronger food education, especially among young people, is still deeply felt.”
“With Campagna Amica, we have always guided children and young people on a journey to discover food, nature, and the joy of being together, helping them recognize that good nutrition is an act of care for themselves and for others,”
said Dominga Cotarella, President of the Campagna Amica Foundation.
“Prevention must start early to avoid problems later in life. The Five Colors project is particularly valuable because it takes place in key contexts such as schools and families, educating children to make healthy and conscious food choices”
emphasized Giuseppe Morino, Scientific Director of the Pancrazio Foundation.
“When we started, only a few schools were involved. Today there are more than seven hundred,” concluded Maria Teresa Carpino, creator of the Five Colors project and President of the Pancrazio Foundation.
“Seeing children learn the value of food and sharing is our greatest reward. Together with them, we also involve families, creating a parallel and successful journey that combines education, health, and conviviality. They are the future — and it is from them that we want to keep starting again.”
