#CruisingPeachy Historic Deal Positions FIA World Endurance Championship for Record Decade of Growth as the Sport Enters its Golden Age

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the global governing body for motor sport and the federation for mobility organisations worldwide, and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the founder and organiser of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, have announced a major deal for the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC), securing another decade of growth.

The landmark agreement, which comes during a period of unprecedented growth for the championship, will ensure a common ambition to expand the partnership and drive its commercial success. It will run from the end of 2027, when the current agreement expires, to the end of 2037.

Under the extended partnership agreement, all regulatory processes will be overseen by FIA Working Groups, the FIA Endurance Commission, and will require the final approval of the FIA World Motor Sport Council. The homologation process has also been streamlined, with the FIA and ACO overseeing the homologation of all cars competing in the Hypercar class.

The renewed partnership will also deliver significantly increased branding for the FIA. This includes enhanced branding prominently displayed across key areas including parc fermé, the podium and the Safety Cars, as well as across broadcast coverage.

With an expanding fanbase, a wider pool of competitors, and a global calendar of iconic events, the championship is stronger than ever. Since its inception in 2012, it has set the global standard for long-distance circuit racing. Following the introduction of the Hypercar regulations in 2021, interest in the championship from motor sport fans and from the automotive world has surged.

FIA WEC’s trackside audience has grown 8% so far in 2026, with millions of fans following the championship globally. The fanbase for the championship is also evolving. This year, 44% of attendees are aged 34 or younger, while 40% are attending an FIA WEC event for the first time. The championship has secured the long-term loyalty of its existing fanbase, while building the next generation of endurance racing fans.

Eight of the world’s leading auto-manufacturers currently compete in Hypercar, the top category of FIA WEC. Following the addition of the LMGT3 class in 2024, the championship now counts no fewer than 14 marques in total on the starting grid. Two more giants of the automotive industry – Ford and McLaren – are set to join the Hypercar ranks in 2027.

For over 100 years, endurance racing has served as a proven testbed for technologies that transfer from track to road. This renewed agreement creates a solid framework for advancing hydrogen powertrains in competition, providing a clear pathway toward more sustainable transport and mobility.

It will also deliver a more unified technical framework that defines top-level endurance racing Hypercars competing both in the FIA WEC and IMSA in North America, which will be introduced from 2030. The new framework will provide greater cost-efficiency for manufacturers to compete in endurance racing championships and events globally, boosting potential participation and increasing the spectacle for motor sport fans.

With interest in FIA WEC at levels never seen before, the championship is positioned for continued growth and success over the coming decade. This new deal offers the solid foundation needed to secure its future, marking a milestone moment in the history of FIA WEC.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the FIA, said: “This is not simply an agreement, it is a vital step forward for racing that will secure the future of the FIA World Endurance Championship for years to come.

“This is a deal built for the future, a deal of the century, one that strengthens the collaboration between the FIA and ACO, a relationship that dates back over 120 years, and sets the championship up for a decade of record growth that will deliver real benefits to fans, drivers, teams and manufacturers.

“It has been an honour to play a part in the collaboration that has helped usher in this golden age of endurance racing. I look forward to continuing our work alongside President Pierre Fillon and his team as we build on this momentum and shape an even stronger future.”

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, said: “We are delighted to see the agreement between the FIA and the ACO extended, reinforcing the strong and long-standing relationship that has been at the heart of the FIA World Endurance Championship since its creation in 2012. This partnership has been built on trust, shared ambition, and a common commitment to the development of endurance racing.

“Together, the FIA and the ACO have created a solid foundation for the continued success and international growth of the championship, and we look forward to writing the next chapter of this remarkable collaboration. Finally, I would like to thank FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem for the great relationship we have built.”

Alberto Villarreal, General Manager at the FIA, said: “The FIA World Endurance Championship is stronger and more popular than it has ever been before, with a growing and evolving fanbase, and an impressive roster of top-tier global auto-manufacturers.

“The agreement announced today underlines the investment in the championship from both the FIA and the ACO, and our commitment to continue bringing the sport to new audiences. It is a pivotal moment in the history of FIA WEC, and provides the foundation and stability needed for the championship’s ongoing success.”

Frédéric Lequien, CEO of the Le Mans Endurance Management, the promoter for the FIA World Endurance Championship, said: “This agreement comes at an exciting time for the FIA World Endurance Championship. The championship is experiencing exceptional momentum, with growing engagement from manufacturers, teams, partners, media, and fans around the world. The extension provides a strong framework to build on this growth, further strengthen the global appeal of the WEC and continue to deliver a world-class championship at the forefront of endurance racing. We are looking forward to an ambitious and exciting future for the FIA WEC.”

#ParisPeachy #BeachyPeachy RANDOM GOOD Celebrated The 7th Annual L OCEAN DAYS FESTIVAL In Paris As Presenting Sponsor

Random Good served as Presenting Sponsor of the 7th Annual Ocean Days Festival, which moved to Paris this year after a strong run in Bordeaux. The four-day festival, held September 27–30 under the High Patronage of the President of the French Republic, brought film, science, art and music together around one goal: protecting the world's oceans.

Random Good is directing 100% of festival ticket proceeds to its global environmental programs, which fund ocean conservation research, environmental filmmaking and scientific work.

The festival's centerpiece came on Tuesday, September 29, when Random Good unveiled the world's largest Floral Reef at the Carrousel du Louvre (Hall Pyramide Inversée). Built entirely from flowers and plants, the installation recreated the color and complexity of a living coral reef, a reminder of what's at stake as reefs decline worldwide. It also served as the backdrop for an exhibition of wildlife photography by Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen, whose work has long shaped Random Good's approach to conservation.

The evening opened with a private Forum hosted by environmental journalist Hugo Clément, with scientists, explorers and athletes. From 22:00 to 01:00, the doors opened to the public for an electronic music afterparty beneath the Inverted Pyramid featuring Synapson, Upsilone and Lancelot.

"We were thrilled to be part of Ocean Days in Paris," said Randy Gebhardt, founder and CEO of Random Good. "People protect what they love, and film, music and art are how you get them to fall in love with the ocean. Our documentary The Last Dive opened the festival on Sunday, and the Floral Reef night was about bringing people together and showing that caring for the planet isn't only for activists. It belongs to everyone."

The film pillar of Random Good's storytelling mission is anchored by their marquee documentary, The Last Dive. The film arrived in Paris riding a wave of critical acclaim following a groundbreaking, sold-out premiere run in San Diego, where it captivated West Coast audiences and environmental advocates alike. Building on this monumental momentum and its sold-out Paris debut, Random Good will soon announce an extensive U.S. theatrical tour and wide release, bringing the documentary's urgent and breathtaking deep-sea narrative to major theaters across North America later this year.

Random Good at Ocean Days Paris: A Look Back

Sunday, Sept. 27: Film. The festival opened at MK2 Odéon Saint-Germain with a sold-out screening of The Last Dive, a RandomGood-supported marine documentary, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Monday, Sept. 28: Science. At the Maison de l'Océan, marine explorers and climate scientists led panels under the theme "The Ocean is calling us. Who is still listening?"

Tuesday, Sept. 29: Gala. The Forum, the debut of the Floral Reef exhibition featuring Mittermeier and Nicklen, and the public afterparty at the Carrousel du Louvre.

Wednesday, Sept. 30: Immersive. The festival closed with an evening of immersive marine visuals and digital art at the Atelier des Lumières.

#ParisPeachy #CulinaryCourant SIAL Paris 2026: the Event That Sheds Light on and Accelerates the Global Agri-food Industry

With just a few months to go until SIAL Paris 2026 (17–21 October, Paris Nord Villepinte), the trade fair has unveiled the findings of its new SIAL Insights 2026 report, an international analysis identifying ten major trends set to bring about lasting change to food markets and consumer behavior.

Compiled using exclusive data from Kantar Food 360™, Circana and ProtéinesXTC, the report highlights a more personalised, functional and experiential approach to food, whilst revealing the new trade-offs consumers are making in the face of economic, health and environmental challenges.

The 10 key insights into food in 2026

1. Healthy eating: fuel for a high-performing body
Consumers are seeking measurable benefits: protein, fiber, energy, immunity or digestive health.

2. The ‘gut brain’: food for mental wellbeing
Sleep, stress management, hormonal balance and cognitive performance now influence dietary choices.

3. Pleasure as a conscious experience
Premium taste experiences, bold flavors and culinary discovery are gaining ground.

4. Global commitment is becoming personalised
Reducing carbon footprints, short supply chains and accessibility are gradually replacing generic talk of ‘natural’ products.

5. Plant-based diets are entering a new phase
Beyond meat substitutes, consumers are diversifying their diets with more pulses and plant-based foods.

6. Individualisation is becoming the new norm
Age, lifestyle, nutritional goals and individual preferences are increasingly driving innovation.

7. The end of fixed mealtimes?
Functional snacks and small meals are becoming more common alongside traditional meals.

8. Accessible added value
Consumers continue to prioritize quality and health, but at affordable prices.

9. Digital technology is redefining food choices
Social media, influencers and online recommendations are playing an increasingly important role in purchasing decisions.

10. Inclusive innovation
Companies are expected to demonstrate their ability to meet a diverse range of dietary, cultural and societal needs.

Five fundamental shifts

Beyond these ten trends, the report highlights five key drivers: the rise of personalised health, the search for richer food experiences, the individualisation of offerings, the quest for a better balance between value and accessibility, and innovation driven by digital technology, inclusivity and pragmatic sustainability.

“These insights show that the food of tomorrow will be more personalised, more closely aligned with individual expectations and more focused on creating value. Understanding these developments is essential for companies wishing to anticipate the markets of tomorrow,” emphasises the SIAL Insights team.

Industry professionals will be able to explore these trends at SIAL Paris 2026, which will bring together more than 8,500 exhibitors and stakeholders from over 200 countries to jointly analyse the future of food.

About SIAL Paris
Since 1964, SIAL Paris has been the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to the agri-food industry. Held every two years, it brings together professionals and key players in the sector to explore trends, showcase innovations and develop business opportunities on an international scale.

Nicole Kidman Celebrates The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award

The Alfa Romeo became eligible for consideration after winning Best of Show at The Amelia in 2025. It received The Peninsula's top honour at an awards ceremony held at The Peninsula Paris on 26 January 2026. The gala event was a glamourous and star-studded affair, featuring appearances by international celebrities including renowned actress Nicole Kidman.

"I am thrilled and deeply honoured to accept The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award," said Deborah Keller on behalf of The Keller Collection, owner of the winning 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B. "This unique vehicle exemplifies the golden era of Italian automotive design and craftsmanship, and every time I see it, I am reminded why such magnificent automobiles deserve to be preserved and celebrated."

Launched in 1937, the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B is regarded as one of the fastest and most exclusive Italian cars of the late 1930s. While most 8C 2900Bs wore Touring coachwork, the winning example boasts a far more personal design. Its original owner, famous Italian racecar driver Giuseppe "Nino" Farina who would become the first official Formula One World Champion in 1950, commissioned a custom body that reflected his family's deep roots in Italian automotive design. The result was the only 8C 2900B ever fitted with Stabilimenti Farina coachwork, which was founded by Nino's father in 1906. Furthermore, the vehicle features styling contributions from Nino's uncle, Battista "Pinin" Farina, one of Italy's most celebrated automotive designers.

When the vehicle was purchased, it was in partially restored condition, with the complete restoration finished in 1995. The 8C was shown at Pebble Beach the same year and then shipped to Europe the following year, where it was displayed at several concours. It also participated in the Monte-Carlo Rally, including a Parade of Elegance, which it won, in front of the Hotel de Paris.

"The winning 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B represents the pinnacle of prewar performance engineering," said Christian Philippsen, co-founder of The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award. "It served as the fastest and most exclusive Italian automobile of its era, and we could not be more thrilled to recognise it as the best of the best."

Following the award ceremony, the winning car will be displayed at Rétromobile, the esteemed Paris-based classic car show, from 28 January to 1 February 2026.

Six other exquisite vehicles competed for the award, including a 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B, a 1954 Ferrari 375 MM, a 1996 Ferrari F50 GT, a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Spezial Roadster, a 1926 Rolls-Royce Phantom I and a 1951 Bentley Mark VI Cresta II.

Among the judges for The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award 2025 were renowned automotive designers, enthusiasts and executives, including sports car racer and builder Gordon Murray, Ford Motor Company executive Henry Ford III, and Italian car designer Fabio Filippini. Joining them were some of the world's most notable classic car enthusiasts and collectors, including acclaimed television host Jay Leno and several international royal figures.

Launched in 2015 by The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award celebrates the preservation and restoration of the world's finest automobiles. Presented by The Peninsula Hotels, whose portfolio of exquisite worldwide properties has epitomised elegant luxury for nearly a century, the award brings together enthusiasts from around the world to admire some of the finest classic cars in history.

Paris...meet Paris. KARL LAGERFELD is proud to unveil its Fall/Winter 2025 campaign, From Paris with Love, starring global icon Paris Hilton. Blending her one-of-a-kind charisma with the brand’s unmistakable aesthetic, the campaign playfully unites two cultural forces who have shaped pop culture on their own terms.

Embracing both an elegant and witty visual dialogue between Paris Hilton and the Maison’s Parisian roots, the campaign explores themes of glamour, individuality, and attitude—channeling the irreverent spirit and sharp sophistication that defined Karl Lagerfeld himself. The result is a celebration of authenticity and self-expression, presenting Paris in a fresh, unexpected light and reframing her renowned image through the lens of the brand’s distinctive point of view.

The FW25 360 campaign will roll out globally across out-of-home, print, social, digital platforms and key pop-ups globally, culminating in a Paris Fashion Week event on October 1st, 2025—a late-night moment to remember, with Paris taking center stage. Further details to follow.

“Paris is both a global icon and a businesswoman—someone who understands the cultural power of image and reinvention. She and Karl have each defined eras in their own distinct ways. This collaboration captures a dynamic that feels both unexpected and entirely authentic—a dialogue between enduring influence and ever-evolving relevance.”
— Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of KARL LAGERFELD

“Karl was a true original—bold, iconic, and always ahead of his time. I’ve always admired his rebellious spirit. To be part of Karl’s world, especially in this campaign which celebrates individuality and playfulness, feels like such a natural fit. From Paris with Love...It’s an honor to be part of his legacy in a way that feels true to who I am.”
— Paris Hilton

Prominent fashion photographer Chris Colls returns for his third consecutive campaign with the brand, capturing KARL LAGERFELD’s signature style and house codes in a series of striking black-and-white visuals.

The campaign’s digital dimension comes to life, with a fresh reinterpretation of Karl Interviews Karl, (an intriguing and self-mythologizing video where Karl Lagerfeld interviewed himself) infused with humor and surprise that nods to Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved wit, along with a series of surprising and irreverent social moments.

This season’s campaign unifies the KARL LAGERFELD universe—including KARL LAGERFELD Paris and KARL LAGERFELD JEANS—under one elevated creative voice. Highlights include structured tailoring and directional silhouettes paired with timeless accessories, resulting in a wardrobe that feels expressive, modern, and unmistakably KARL LAGERFELD.

Internationally known Spanish model and actor Jon Kortajarena stars alongside Paris Hilton as the face of KARL LAGERFELD Menswear, embodying the collection’s confident edge and serving as the perfect counterpart to his longtime friend.

A key focus of the season is the K/Autograph—inspired by one of Karl Lagerfeld’s earliest hand-drawn initials. First introduced as the brand’s logo in the 1980s and later seen across ready-to-wear, accessories, and jewelry, this signature motif also reflects how Karl would sign his sketches, alternating with his full signature. Now, the Autograph returns as a defining element across the collection, seamlessly integrated into modern designs that carry his mark forward.

Paris... voici Paris.

From Paris with Love...
