Champagne Wishes: 2009 BOUQUET® RED DESSERT WINE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY WHOM YOU KNOW

It's the season of celebration, desserts, and more importantly, dessert wine!  We have found a fabulous dessert wine that is even local-and you know we love it when we find great American products-and it's the 2009 Bouquet Red Dessert wine by The North Fork of Long Island.  Peachy Deegan loves it most with anything chocolate, as it is an ideal pairing for that.  It has a great flavor without being overly sweet, and it is a perfect finish to a great meal.  The blackberry and raspberry notes that come through are especially appreciated and you will love every sip.  Whom You Know highly recommends the 2009 Bouquet Red Dessert wine by The North Fork of Long Island!  We suggest you say cheers with this, and Santa will be very good to you.

Appellation
The North Fork of Long Island, New York

Description
Concentrated and well-balanced, Bouquet® seduces with every sip. This Vin Doux Naturel is a blend of Syrah (95%) and Pinot Noir (5%).

Tasting Notes
The color of dark ruby gemstones, Bouquet Red Dessert Wine offers warm aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, chocolate and pepper. Medium-bodied with a long length of finish.

Winegrowing Notes
Although the 2009 growing season was challenging, especially for red grapes, we found wonderful sources of Syrah and Pinot Noir with aromatic fruit and low tannins from young vineyards, with grapes that ripened early in the season.

Winemaking Notes
This vin doux naturel is made by adding grape spirit to the must of ripe fermenting grapes, as opposed to late harvest grapes. By arresting fermentation mid-way, part of the grape’s sugar remains and retains sweetness in the wine. The alcohol in a fortified wine makes the wine’s body lighter and more fluid. The alcohol level of this wine is very well balanced by its fruit, sugar and acidity.

Alc.: 17%. pH: 3.50.  TA: 5.33.  RS: 50 g/L.

Serving Suggestions
Serve with dark chocolate or desserts with chocolate sauces, such as Poire Belle Hélène, or profiteroles. The strong stimuli of both the chocolate and red dessert wine enhance each other. An exquisite ending to a beautiful evening!

Suggested Retail Price: $39.99/375 ml.
