Salon Peachy: Gaby Bowen, Star Colorist and Emma Heser, Star Stylist, Team Up To Give Peachy Deegan the Best Look in Town (& Country) For Summer! The Depth of Talent and Expertise at Cutler Continues to Wow Whom You Know!!!

Rodney Cutler is a Mover and Shaker:
He has given the best cut Peachy's ever received to date.
Not only is Rodney Cutler a talent himself, but even greater, he teaches those around him to pursue excellence as well, and hires them, to the benefit of all.  Across disciplines, we have found this to be a rare quality that is executed to the level it is executed at all Cutler Salons, and we've been to all of the Manhattan locations.

The talent runs deep at Cutler-and this is not the first time we've said it.  However, the more we experience it, the more and more impressed we are.  There are many salons in Manhattan.  There are very few top salons, and Cutler is the best overall and Gaby Bowen and Emma Heser proved that yesterday.

A team that hails from each coast-Gaby from California and Emma from Connecticut-started by doing what all experts do: consulting with the client in tandem to discuss the pursuit of one common goal, which is of course, fabulous hair. We are convinced they can do it all, and not only on just Peachy and what she wants because everyone we see around us at Cutler is happy as a clam-which they should be!  All kinds of cuts and all kinds of colors can happen...but you know Peachy-blonder in the summer, trying to achieve her natural color consistently around her head outside of these highlights, and absolutely no red in terms of color.  And she likes her hair long, layered and healthy which of course requires a trim!  Both Gaby and Emma equally exuded sincere care and interest in improving Peachy's hair and it showed at the event at Del Frisco's last night: http://www.whomyouknow.com/2011/05/nightlight-del-friscos-and-star-vodka.html

Of course, you know Peachy does not like red hair on herself, but over time, hair can fade and when you have different people working on your hair, the color can become less than brilliant.  Gaby is an absolute wizard of color, and not since Mover and Shaker Rachel Bodt have we been as impressed by a colorist, and we've worked with some fabulous ones too since then.  Not only was Peachy impressed, but Gaby Bowen was the person that did Emma Watson's color the first time Rodney did Emma's famous pixie cut.   The world knows how fabulous Gaby's work is!

Gaby added great depth to Peachy's color and the contrast achieved and the quality of the look are unsurpassed.  And, no red!  Gaby is a total genius.  You should color your hair every 8 weeks, not every four, Gaby believes to keep your hair in top condition.  Gaby truly cares about keeping your hair in top shape and will tell you honestly what is best for it.  Gaby did not need to add many blond highlights since Peachy already had them, and she touched them up expertly using a lightener up to seven.  Then, starting from the back,  she similtaneously added the base color (50, with a little bit of 60, with a little bit of developer) which got rid of any stray grays (a demipermanent was used on the roots to not use any warmth, just deposit) and any red that previously existed.  A lowlight 19 Redken Shades EQ (you know we LOVE Redken!!!) demipermanent glaze was added from midshaft to ends to finally banish any reddish brassineess, add shine and depth, and to add protein to Peachy's tresses.

Then Emma worked her magic, balancing the layers that really needed it!  Any dead ends or split ends were banished!  Emma not only has a great eye for detail and cutting, but an amazing panache for styling!  She taught Kelsy Osterman, who has done a great job blowdrying Peachy's hair in the past.  And, she was a total peach to put Peachy's hair up in clips so Peachy could optimize the height and volume which she really needs at a towering 5'1"!  Obviously Peachy's hair is high in the picture for strategy...not as a regular look, though some people on fifth avenue after thought she was Lady Gaga.  Incidentally, Jenny Balding and Emma Heser work right next to each other and the talent in that area is electric with the scissors!  They are each total stars-you remember Jenny did Peachy's hair last fall.  Here are Peachy and Emma:
Not only do you wind up with great hair in the end, but the whole Cutler experience is pleasant.  The music is upbeat and present without being too loud so you can converse with those you're working with, the location on 57th with gorgeous sunlight streaming in makes it ideal for achieving the right color and cut goals, and the overall positive attitudes of everyone around make it a pleasure to visit the Cutler Salon.
If you aren't going to Cutler, you should be asking yourself why!
They are the best.
