READ THIS: THANK YOU NOTES By JIMMY FALLON With The Writers of Late Night, Highly Recommended by Whom You Know Except For One Little Grammatical Error, Jimmy! It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW

At Whom You Know, we think Jimmy Fallon is fabulous.  Peachy Deegan has met him at American Ireland Fund events:http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/03/nightlight-american-ireland-fund-young.html, and she has also been in his audience.  Actually they have very nice ushers there as they sat her in the front row although she attended incognito.  When we can stay up as late as 12:30, we absolutely watch his show!  Needless to say we were thrilled to see his book of Thank You Notes launch!  It is so important to be grateful in life, but the hilarity he brings to being thankful is truly priceless, and you must read it to understand the appeal.  After Peachy read it, she had tagged so many pages to tell you about that this would be a term paper, not a post, if we said them all...plus we want you to be reading the book.  Here are our top five:

1. Thank you, slow-walking family walking in front of me on the sidewalk.  No, please, take your time.  And definitely spread out, too, so you create a barricade of idiots.  I am so thankful that you forced me to walk into the street and risk getting hit by a car in order to pass you so I could resume walking at a normal human pace.

2. Thank you...molars.  If my teeth were a class picture, you'd be the fat kids in the back row.

3.  Thank you...horseradish, for being neither a radish nor of a horse.  What you are is a liar food.  (I'm looking at you, too, Grape Nuts.)

4. Thank you...people with sesquipedalophobia, which is the fear of long words.  You picked the wrong thing to call your fear.

5.  Thank you...New York, for being the only city in America with enough tall buildings for Spider-Man to do his thing.  Could you imagine if Peter Parker was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico?  LAAAME!

However Jimmy, though we do love you, we are incredibly disappointed with page 54.  Clearly, you need Peachy Deegan to be your top editor.  Here would be Peachy Deegan's response to this page in your Thank You speak:

Thank you, Warriner's Grammar book for making 10th grade miserable for all of us that had to know grammar inside and out while less fortunate kids were out having fun and not getting a top education.  However, Mover and Shaker Rennie McQuilkin somehow made you fun, and many years later you are enabling Peachy to find a mistake that slipped everyone at Grand Central Publishing.  Remember, it's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and the thank you on page 54 should read:

"Thank you...the kids' table, for providing an isolated eating area for both young children and adult relatives WHOM nobody likes."

Thank you Jimmy for making Peachy feel grammatically useful and she would LOVE LOVE LOVE to come on your show and help you write!

“Thank you…sweater vests. You’re a great way to keep warm while telling your arms to go screw themselves.”

“Thank you…paper clips, for being like staples for people who can’t commit.”

Jimmy Fallon is very thankful. In THANK YOU NOTES, based on Fallon’s popular “Thank You Notes” segment that airs every Friday on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, he addresses over 150 subjects in need of his undying gratitude, and each page will feature one of Fallon’s special notes and a photograph of the recipient.

In this first book to come from his TV show, and featuring a special Foreword from Fallon, he expresses gratitude for everything from the light bulb he is too lazy to replace to the F12 button on his computer’s keyboard. He thanks microbreweries for making his alcoholism seem like a neat hobby. He thanks the slow-moving family walking in front of him on the sidewalk. Without this “barricade of idiots,” he might never have been forced to walk in the street and risk getting hit by a car in order to get around them. He’s thankful to you, the person reading this right now. It means you’re considering buying this book. You should do it. You will be thankful that you did.

In March 2009, “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” made its broadcast debut with Fallon as the third host of the NBC comedy-talk franchise. The show serves as a platform for comedy, music and A-list talent out of NBC’s Rockefeller Center Studio 6B.  The show continually garners attention for viral videos, audience games, and prominent guests.  Fallon’s choice of house-band, The Roots, has been universally praised.

"Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" is produced by Universal Media Studios and Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels is the executive producer. Michael Shoemaker produces. Gavin Purcell co-produces.
