First of all this book just feels summery! The perfect read for your child or with your child outside on a big comfy lounge chair full of pillows. “Chadwick the Crab” is a delightful book about a crab that aspires to greater things. Even though his life under the sea is lively and fun, he knows there is more out there for him. Hoping he is not alone in his quest for adventure, Chadwick turns to his group of friends ranging from gooses to seagulls to egrets to oysters to see if they have the same desires. Off he sets to make it in the big leagues by joining the Baltimore aquarium. Children and parents alike will enjoy his journey and his determination to follow his dreams.

I cannot believe I've never heard of Chadwick the Crab. When I read this book, I immediately fell in love with it. I can see where my students would love it too. This book follows Chadwick the Crab in following his dreams about becoming a star. Chadwick also shows how great friends can help you achieve your dreams. His friends helped him get to the aquarium. Not only does Chadwick help teach about following your dreams, he also brings in geography lessons. I love the East Coast and Chesapeake Bay is one place I still have to visit. I can't wait now! If you haven't gotten your copy, you are missing out.

Chadwick the Crab and all of his friends take you on one great adventure! They are a really fun bunch. I know that any kid will get into this book. I love that its fun and educational. The story of Chadwick teaches children about the bay, all of the scary things that may lurk around, what they eat and so much more! The illustrations are beautiful. I honestly can't stop looking at the beautiful images that come to life while reading the book. This book is great for every child who is a book lover.

"Chadwick the Crab" by Priscilla Cummings is a great book. This book tells the story of Chadwick the Crab (surprise!) and his life in the Chesapeake Bay. It is fall and is time for Chadwick to move to the deeper, warmer part of the bay for winter. He decides he doesn't want to do that; he wants adventure and fame! Chadwick enlists the help of his friends in the bay and embarks on his big adventure...to move to the Baltimore Aquarium! His adventure is not without obstacles, but Chadwick perseveres. Does Chadwick make it to the Baltimore Aquarium and become a star? You will have to read this wonderful book to find out! Priscilla Cummings "Chadwick the Crab" is educational and heartwarming...a really great read!

"Move aside, Babar, Paddington, Pooh-Bear...make room for Chadwick." —Attraction Chadwick is a happy Chesapeake Bay blue crab who enjoys a wide circle of friends—quiet Orville Oyster, Matilda (a fussy, near-sighted egret), Toulouse the French Canada Goose, Bernie the Sea Gull, and especially Esmerelda, the prettiest girl crab in the entire bay. But Chadwick yearns for adventure and decides that more than anything else he wants to be a star at the aquarium in Baltimore. This is the story of how one little crab realizes a very big dream. Preschool to grade 2
