Located on the northern most corner of Tribeca, Capsouto Freres was founded by three brothers Jacques, Samuel and Albert Capsouto who came to New York after living in Egypt and France. The space, a former spice warehouse was discovered on a snowy winter day in 1979 and opened one year later.

All three brothers fell in love with the lofty brick exposed space, streaming with natural light. To this day, the Capsouto brothers are credited with opening one of the first restaurants in Tribeca, a neighborhood they have come to love over the last decades.
