Once upon a time a girl named Peachy moved to New York from Boston.
When she found out that New York was named after the Duke of York, she was sure that it must have been JERRY York that was being referred to as Duke...with thinking processes damaged forever by a childhood punctuated by glorious trips to the Hartford Civic Center with the greatest game on earth: hockey, of course, she kept stats at Boston College for Coach York and his hockey team. Now that we are covering the NHL, we bet we may be their only writer covering hockey FASHION, and our inaugural feature is by another York, York Design Company. They are our NEW YORK.
This fantastic hockey design is sure to please everyone enthused by this game of speed and skill, and we can't wait to wear it to our upcoming NHL days of coverage.

The collection includes, among other things, a design for hockey fanatics like Peachy Deegan, a design that features preppy whales, and a design that showcases shimmery elephants on a black background. Other designs include colorful and whimsical prints released just in time for fall fashion.
“York Design Company needlepoint cuff bracelets have been selling phenomenally for us this season,” said a shop owner in Rhode Island who carries the products. “The preppy designs are just what our customers are looking for – we sold out of our first order almost immediately!”
The needlepoint cuff bracelets and other products that York Design Company creates are a spin on an old craft with a modern twist. Until recently, needlepoint was seen as a grandmother’s hobby; in the past few years with the rising popularity of preppy style across the country, needlepoint has come back in full-force.
