Opened on March 1, 2015, this month Bedford Falls celebrated its second anniversary in the space previously known as Phoenix Park (which opened in 1998), across from Fox 5 News on the Upper East Side.  Owned by Sean Marr, Brendan Kirkpatrick and Mike Geddes, Bedford Falls boasts a standout classic menu that you'll enjoy.
Previously this group was lauded in their initial feature for District Tap House:
Everyone knows that we've been looking all over for the best fish to feature for Fridays in Lent and this Wild Salmon is a winner.
It arrives from Canada fresh every day and is just what we were looking for with a side of mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach.  And yes, you know who talks to her food especially when it is from Canada and the answer to all that love NHL Peachy is that yes Virginia, this fish does like hockey.  And there is a Santa Claus and you can find him at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in Manhattan.
Ever since Peachy Deegan spent a semester in Cork at UCC with her friend from the Mull of Kintyre who is not in the spotlight, she has heard about how great Scotland is.  When her family member lived there she visited Scotland and everyone knows Call the Midwife is about to start in the US with Mover and Shaker Chris Reilly from Glasgow.  Owner of Bedford Falls, Sean Marr, below, also is from Glasgow and the Curry Chicken of Bedford Falls is inspired by Glasgow and is absolutely delicious.
The tender chicken is sublime as it's embellished in a lovely curry sauce that leans more towards Chinese flavoring says Sean (not Indian).  Perfectly chopped red and green pepper and sauteed onions and garlic bring out more layers of flavor that enhance this dish perfectly, and Americans should take a walk on the wild side and try this.  In Glasgow, Sean says this is the go-to dish after a night out.  People in the UK have a higher tolerance for spicy than Americans (it took our friend Ashok Bajaj and his amazing talents to get Peachy to start eating Indian food at all and liking it! -but you must eat the RIGHT Indian food) and they eat a lot of curry over there.  Our sources in Glasgow today say other dishes popular after a night out lean toward Indian flavoring and include doner kebab or chips (french fries), and cheese or chips (fries), cheese meat and sauce (spicy tomato kebab sauce) or spicy chicken and chips (fries).  We know we have many readers on the other side of the pond so keep in mind that Bedford Falls is excellent for Curry Chicken, which is uncommon in New York at all.  Curry itself is pretty uncommon.

We love it when we see Nicoise Salads on the menu and we'd like to see them more often.  Of course, it refers to Nice, France and the Bedford Falls edition is highly impressive.  Fingerling potatoes, hard boiled eggs, string beans, cherry tomatoes, olives and tuna team up for a bevy of nutrition, color and flavor that will wow you tremendously.  We'd expect as the weather gets warmer that this will become even more popular.  Note the gorgeous arrangement.
The depth of the sandwiches on the menu is to be commended and we count about a dozen.  We love options.  Though we almost ordered a burger, Sean suggested the French Dip, and again he is right. This is absolutely delicious!  Tremendously flavorful hot roast beef is joined by swiss cheese and a side of Au Jus to dip it in.  Our pictures are never edited; it looks this great and tastes even better.
Our first experience at Bedford Falls was fantastic and we look forward to seeing what these guys do next.
