This book is different than any other book my son owns.  Best in Show, written by Karen LeFrak, gives an inside look at the dog show world.  Although we don't own a dog, my son is enamored of them.  He truly enjoyed this story about Gem the poodle and her rise from the kennel to being awarded "Best in Show"!  The illustrations by Andrew Day are fabulous- really charming and they very much enhanced the already wonderful story.  A story of the dog show world, but also a story of friendship between a young girl, Abby and her pup, Gem, Best in Show is already a new favorite in our house!  This book will surely become a favorite of any child, pet lover or dog show enthusiast!

I just read Best in Show by Karen LeFrak  What a great find for dog lovers and moms who are looking for something different to read!  A fun read with a fantastically happy ending -- my daughter loved it!  Abby and her poodle Gem really made us think about how much we love our dogs!  My daughter was even asking if our crazy English Springer Spaniels could win Best in Show.  The illustrations by Andrew Day are adorable, our little baby was cooing as I showed them to her too.  Blue Ribbon all the way!
