Peachy's favorite: the Classic Cheesesteak!

It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and way back in 2022, we first visited Little Biggs and were tremendously impressed with its sandwich styles and commitment to top quality, evident in every bite.  Little Biggs is part of the Little Food Company, which is little packed with big flavors...not so unlike Peachy herself.  Secondly, we reviewed a second brand of Little Food Company, Extravert.  Today, Little Biggs is located in Chelsea in Manhattan and the third time was indeed a charm as Founder, Owner and Executive Chef Kaegan Welch worked directly with Peachy for the whole time and showed her truly extraordinary sandwiches which are just tops in the city.
The name Little Biggs is derived from the idea that little details make a big difference and if you have read our other 30,000 posts, you know when Kaegan tells that to Peachy, he is preaching to the choirHis extensive educational experience includes earning an American B.A. and includes studies in Spain and The French Culinary Institute, which sets him apart from other chefs and entrepreneurs. Arguably, the barriers to entry in sandwich production are not high however, how one does this is what truly makes a difference.  Not only his education but also his work experience evidence why Kaegan is more accomplished and able to make you a better sandwich: see his integral roles at Le Pain Quotidien.  The sandwiches at Little Biggs are simply better because Kaegan is better at it, strategically and execution-wise.  Pictures speak louder than words, readers!  We began with Tuna Salad on Sesame.  All sandwiches are served on your choice of bread, ciabatta, multiseed, sesame hero, bagel or whole wheat wrap.  Sandwiches are served with freshly cut iceberg and tomato.  The Tuna is composed of tuna, celery, red onion, fresh herbs, mayo, house pickles and arugula.
However, the real piece de resistence here is what we almost didn't order because we thought it would be like regular cheesesteaks.  It absolutely is not.
The Little Biggs Classic Cheesesteak is majestic!
Made with ribeye beef, it makes New York proud and this edition is leaps and bounds ahead of that version you will find where Rocky is.  (We love Rocky but we strongly prefer Little Biggs's Cheesesteak and if by chance you are reading Sylvester come with us to see Kaegan next time.)
So, avid readers know Peachy is a Deegan not a vegan and this committed carnivore delicately devoured the quintessential Classic Cheesesteak further embellished with grilled onions, american cheese, garlic mayo and is shown on sesame here although ciabatta is what the menu says and how you might have it when you visit. Words and pictures do not do this sandwich justice.  The steakhouses should be scared.  You are going to cry when it disappears but you will have to go back then.
Does your sandwich smile at you like this?
From every angle, the Chipotle Chicken and Avocado is a winner.  It strutted in gorgeous fashion down the table runway like its hair was done by Edward Tricomi.  Obviously there was no hair anywhere near any sandwiches unless it was attached to Peachy's head.  We were immensely impressed with the cleanliness here and the bathrooms in particular were spotless in this building.
Grilled chicken, chipotle mayo, jalapeno cashew crema (of course Peachy wanted to know what this was: it is: soaked cashew nuts with Jalapeno peppers, evidencing the authenticity of Little Biggs.  It's mostly cashew), cilantro and pickled onion.  All elements of all sandwiches were super fresh and Kaegan is really talented in knowing how to properly balance the sandwich elements with each other.  Nothing is ordinary here: it is extraordinary and better different.
Some sandwich places are boring and run-of-the-mill.
Some sandwich places are trying too hard to be trendy and don't understand how elements work together well, or just as bad if not worse they put something in a bowl and call it a masterpiece for the container.
But at Little Biggs, everything is just right.  It's just interesting enough to entice your tastebuds and wow them.  The next one you saw coming if you are an avid reader of Chicken Parm Peachy.  Is there anyone else so ridiculous they devote a column to Chicken Parm?  We have not heard of others.
Not only is the Chicken Parm itself superior at Little Biggs but it is really stepped up with premium Vodka Sauce!  The fabulously crispy chicken cutlet is stacked with mozzarella and arugula dancing in that vodka sauce to make your day in the most delicious way.
Especially in the fall and winter, soup and sandwich is a coveted edible.
Aged cheddar and gruyere team up for a winning goal in your stomach and they cannonball into tremendous tomato soup, all of which totally hits the spot on a chilly day.  Note that the grilled cheese is made on Texas Toast and of course it is better because Kaegan is from Texas.
At Little Biggs there is an All Day Breakfast menu section and Peachy is a firmly committed BEC (Bacon Egg and Cheese) advocate.  Genuine bacon from a pig (sorry Miss Piggy) is a triumphant beacon of brilliance with superior fried egg and American cheese on an everything bagel.
And BLT's-bacon, lettuce and tomato for the uninitiated, is a home run in your stomach with creamy Chive Cream Cheese coming to the party:
There is no need for any culinary venue in this area to have a bar because there is a bar in the center you can order from - Bar Avant.  It's separate.  This Little Biggs is open six days a week from Monday to Saturday (that means starting tomorrow this week, silly!)
Finally, we closed with the Classic and we chose the ham option (Turkey and Grilled Chicken are the other choices) that arrives in style with mayo, house pickles, red onions and gruyere cheese.  Note all pictures are totally unedited and you need to excel like Kaegan for us to brag about you!  The third time is a charm and we are thrilled to announce Little Biggs Chelsea is our newest Peachy's Pick.
The little details make a gigantic difference!
