We have always been impressed at The Pizza Factory when we have worked with owner Edin Redzic directly, and if you are in Queens, you will see they really set themselves apart from an ordinary pizza place with their outstanding grilled vegetables! Salads are fresh too: from the Arugula Salad with feta, roasted peppers, fabulous cherry tomatoes and olives to the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad to the Caprese, there's something to attract all plates as a nice balance to your pizza.

#InauguralReview #TerrificTakeoutBrooklyn #BeachyPeachy #TeUra Il Ponte Cucina Italiana Since 2023 by Elez Bucaj #1215SurfAvenue #ConeyIsland #Brooklyn #NewYork
Say Enchante to the Branzino!
If you are a Peachy Deegan, you nearly never go outside of the uber-competitive dining realm of Manhattan because why would you, and when we do go to an outer borough, it is because in addition to fine food, someone has a great history (Joe Bastone) or an established prior relationship in Manhattan (Dino and Edin Redzic). Elez Bucaj has defied both of these: we met him for the first time at TeUra, which means bridge in Albanian, opened only 2 years ago on March 19, 2023. He is the founder and owner and came to America in 2002 from Albania and opened his first restaurant in 2007. It derives its name because bridges connect people, and his cuisine connects people too.
Your first impression is that you will not think you are in Coney Island or Brooklyn with ten chandeliers surrounding you. If you haven't heard, we are pro-chandlelier.
We are also pro-carb, obviously.
We were graciously greeted with the super fresh bread straight from their woodfire oven, which is the genius behind quite a lot here. We absolutely adored the total freshness and the garlic on top. This is brought to every table we are told, and this is our first visit ever here and the first time we met Elez.
The entire restaurant was clean and spotless, which is really hard to achieve we'd surmise with all of the sand outside! We really loved the bathroom too from the green tile (Peachy's favorite color) to the soap and of course it was clean or we wouldn't be telling you about it. Note there are plenty of people online writing about restaurants allowing spin from the spinmasters who may paint a picture that is not reality and get paid to spin yarns; we publish the truth and tell the truth always. We celebrate intelligence and excellence. You will see the woodpile as you go to the bathroom for the oven, and it evidences how authentic this place is! We cannot believe more people aren't talking about it. Yet. Plus Elez has super exciting news that we reveal...
Peachy conversed with the chandeliers once she ordered.
Naturally, we started with salads; the salad section is convincing with six choices.
Shrimp Salad spells summer with mixed greens, corn, avocado, and grilled shrimp in a lovely fashion (and they put the dressing on the side as we asked), while Shop Salad in the traditional Balkan style, has outstanding cherry and regular tomatoes with cucumber, mixed peppers, onions, olives, feta and evoo, perfectly light. Fresh burrata cheese, cherry tomato and evoo teamed up for the perfect simplicity of the Burrata Salad which you should order.
Pizza is the real piece de resistance here, and you should put it on your pizza bucket list. Eighteen inches of glorious woodfire oven pizza await you and there are beaucoup de choices, nineteen choices we count in fact! We began with the Margarita: Fresh Mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh garlic, basil and parmigiano. And the Vegetarian Pizza was a glorious garden of nutrition: fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, broccoli, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Normally, there are also olives but Peachy asked for the no olive version and they were happy to comply.
Chicken Parmigiana, traditional bread and pan-fried chicken with mozzarella and tomato sauce turned in a solid performance and we liked the ziti too that came to the party, especially the sauce. Five shrimp arrive in style (we chose to add the protein) to an amazing Fettuccine Alfredo, homemade with cream sauce, garlic and parmigiano. Note pictures are unedited always.
Other than the pizza, the Branzino was our favorite part and the flavor that emanated from the poisson was superior and the fish itself was fresh and properly super moist in the most delightful flaky fashion. Carrots, broccoli and asparagus balanced it out wonderfully.
We sipped on this spectacular Super Tuscan, and believe you should drink what you like, not what the world thinks you should pair with your food!
Note they also have their own wine which we may try another time.
It was a hot day.
Panna Cotta finished the experience on a sweet, positive note and we were tremendously impressed overall! Note that in mid-September, Elez Bucaj will be opening Elia's Casa Bianca on Manhattan's First Avenue in Midtown at 398 East 52nd Street so stay tuned.

#PeachysPicksQueens #ThePizzaFactory #LongIslandCity A Peachy's Pick Since 2023 Spring 2025 by Chef and Owner #EdinRedzic #DinoRedzic #ErnisBerisa and #MikeyPerez Not Only Still the First But Also the ONLY Peachy's Pick Ever in Queens
The Pizza Factory may be casual but the caliber of the Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp is all white tablecloth with pinkies out with the talents of Chef Edin
Owner Edin Redzic of The Pizza Factory, the First Restaurant Ever in an Outer Borough to Earn a Peachy's Pick designation
It's not who you know it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we knew Mover and Shaker Mayor Ed Koch!
Everyone knows his bridge, and it is the bridge to pizza in our humble opinion. We are pretty sure he is reading upstairs and hope he joined us in spirit for this pizza.
On our way to The Pizza Factory, Peachy wore a hat from another winner father and son team we told you about last fall, Hampton Water.
It should speak volumes to you when Peachy raves about something outside of Manhattan because that means she actually had to leave Manhattan which has nearly everything except a beach to get there. The Pizza Factory has pizza that is so tremendously delicious it is better than a lot of Manhattan places we've tried and better than ALL the Manhattan places we have tried and not published on. Chef Edin Redzic does not rest upon the success of his awesome Dad Dino: he has earned it independently and everyone knows Peachy is a tough cookie. Dino has never been to The Pizza Factory during Peachy's visits.
We always try a whole cheese pizza and this continues to thrive with the chewy, delicious crust, tantalizing sauce and inviting cheesy goodness. This tells you the building block to all the fabulous pizzas is just the beginning.
We are very into vegetables on pizza year round but especially during Fridays in Lent.
Ricotta comes to the party in this pizza Peachy designed (but obviously did not make-she ordered) and mushrooms, spinach, tomato, onions and garlic combined for a symphony of spectacular flavor in perfect proportion.
We do not edit pictures.
The pizza is truly this gorgeous.
Don't hate it because it's beautiful.
Eat it.
Mademoiselle Peachy loves Croque Monsieur which is a way to say ham and cheese en francais mes amis. To that end, the Ham Calzone is a culinary triumph at The Pizza Factory and it is so much fun to break apart the fresh dough and cannonball into the marinara which is an ideal companion. It is superior to the run of the mill marinara and you want to make sure you have enough for all your little piggies (you know, the ham). Edin may be young but he is a lot smarter than many twice his age evidenced by the brilliant item of Grilled Organic Vegetables. This is a great addition to any pizza place menu and is robust with flavor highlighting the natural goodness of squash, carrots, cauliflower, green and red bell peppers and broccoli. Yes you can eat pizza and be healthy. We write for the reader who wants it all.
Peachy is a devoted follower of Fettuccine Alfredo usually with Chicken.
Well we are eating fish more during lent and it is even better with Shrimp at The Pizza Factory, which as we have alluded to goes far beyond the pizza. It's al dente exactly right and the flavoring of the sauce is pure divinity.
Everyone knows we are big on salads and from the House Salad above with mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and onions to a custom salad you can design - Peachy picked broccoli, grape tomatoes and red onion- The Pizza Factory has all of your nutritional boxes checked and they listen and put the dressing on the side for Ms. Uberpicky.
And sometimes anything boys can do, girls can do better! Assistant Manager and Cashier Danijela was a super help.
Also there are multiple fruit choices to go with your pizza and we opted for melon which was cut up FRESH. Some places we can taste do this way before they put it out but not here: it is SUPER FRESH.
And a peachy hue too:
Whom You Know continues to Highly Recommend The Pizza Factory in Long Island City, Queens!
You all know where the Empire State Building is.
