MOVERS AND SHAKERS: Bryce Gruber, Principal of IntenCity Global!!!

Mover and Shaker Bryce Gruber was born on April 15, 1984... she's 24. Although you may have heard that she has been linked to the party scene and some of the "bad boys" in the entertainment biz (argh, famoushookups.com has not been so flattering), Whom You Know KNOWS that Bryce is really a homebody and the fabulous single mother loves just hanging out with her 7 week old son, Benjamin.

Bryce started her first company, which was an import/export fashion accessories business at the age of 19. By 20, she had sold it and started her marketing and publicity firm, IntenCity Global. This past September, Ms. Gruber started an online magazine, theluxuryspot.com, which has quickly become one of the top lifestyle websites in the world. Bryce got her start in the fashion business from her mother, who owned a small chain of upscale women's stores in New Jersey for most of Bryce's childhood.

Today, Bryce lives and works in Midtown Manhattan, although she really loves the south more than any other place... the warm weather and people are amazing according to Ms. Gruber! She has traveled to a good portion of the world, and last year alone she visited 5 continents.

Peachy Deegan and Whom You Know strongly believe this is a girl on the rise and quite the mover and shaker!

Peachy Deegan: What is your first fashion memory?
Bryce Gruber: My mother owned high-end women's accessories stores, and I remember being 3 years old and having to learn the various shades of beige leather...

What are the top three trends for spring?
Form fitting dresses, colorful shoes, and matte skin.

What did you like most and least about this past Fashion week?
I liked the divergence of style. It was like half of the designers picked a sexy approach and the other half picked a preppy/snotty approach. What I didnt like was that fashion week was so somber this year, the economy really has the industry down!

What is your favorite place to be in NYC?
Believe it or not, my favorite place is my office. We all have a good time there!

What is your favorite shop?
I have a lot of favorite stores, it really depends on what I'm shopping for! I love vintage stores though for old, interesting jewelry finds.

What is your favorite drink?
I was just introduced to Magners Cider by one of the other writers on theluxuryspot.com, it's ridiculously amazing. [Interestingly enough, you can read about how Peachy Deegan just had Magner's at The Paris after ice-skating at the Seaport. Since Peachy used to live in Cork, Ireland, home of Magners's, this is a double endorsement by Whom You Know.] It tastes like a mildly alcoholic jolly rancher.

What is your favorite restaurant?
I love Five Points on Great Jones Street!

What is your favorite NYC book?
I dont have one...

What is your favorite thing to do in NYC that you can do nowhere else?
Walk everywhere! I love to walk!

What do you think is most underrated and overrated here?
Underrated: the ability to go out any day of the week, at any hour, and find something or someone fun. Overrated, crap apartments for $4000 a month.

What else should Whom You Know readers know about you?
I've been on 5 of 7 continents (would love to make it 6 by end of '09), the love of my life is my son Benjamin, and I'm excited as hell for warm weather fashion, food, and festivities.
