Peachy Picks 3 Guys

Fast food and quality are not mutually exclusive, though one may suppose that and it is quite true in many circumstances.  However, at 3 Guys, the quick turnaround and the high quality in tandem have been delighting the clients since 1978 as they have become a welcome pitstop during many shopping jaunts we assume! (This panel today prefers shoe shopping...)

3 Guys was first featured in Terrific Takeout:http://www.whomyouknow.com/2011/05/terrific-takeout-three-guys.html and it has sailed into Peachy's Picks!

Owner Spiro Argiros is one of the most pleasant restaurant owners we've met and is just as down to earth as this diner with panache.  Let us assure you: not all diners are created equally.  3 Guys is fabulous because of the quality cuisine, fast service, endless choices, spotless atmosphere and genuine warmth and caring exuded by Spiro, Loula, and Nick.  And you will not believe the monster list of choices on their menu-it is one of the biggest we've seen.  You would never become bored with this menu...we challenge even the very pickiest-even they would find something to love.

Peachy began with the stuffed avocado with shrimp salad, shown above.  It was so fresh, creative and delightful and exactly what you want on a hot summer night.  In this sweltering heat you may think you could not eat a thing, but in the oasis of 3 Guys we found out that their fresh gourmet salads were one of the most popular areas of the menu.
Looks good, right?  Peachy ordered the Penne with Chicken and Fresh Spinach.
But it's even better with cheese:
It was a harmony of goodness with the right balance of pasta, garlic, chicken and spinach and it totally hit the spot.  You can get very tired from shoe shopping...and this will totally satisfy you!
Don't just listen to only Peachy!  Our esteemed panelist adds:

Today's outing was to 3 Guys, an elegant diner located on a prime stretch of Madison Avenue near 75th Street surrounded by trendy boutiques and elegant establishments. While 3 Guys is classified as a diner, this was the classiest diner I had ever been to with an extensive menu ranging from classic breakfast fare to refined Italian dishes.
The first course was a duo of mini crabcakes served with a traditional remoulade as well as with a refreshing touch of a light onion, cucumber and tomato salsa. These crabcakes did not skimp on the crab! They were loaded with delicious crabmeat and had just enough peppery spice to complement the light salsa - a perfect dish for a hot summer day. Following the crabcakes was a roast beef panini with grilled onions and pepperjack cheese.
The first glimpse of this sandwich showed fresh focaccia bread. The focaccia was the perfect medium to contain the sweet grilled onions, moist roast beef and spicy pepperjack. The melted pepperjack held the entire sandwich together and added the perfect kick to the panini. The side salad lightened up the delicious heartiness of the meal. The ending note of the dinner was a slice of apple pie, recommended by our server, Nick. With firm and flavorful apple chunks, this pie ensured the focus remain on the main event: the apples! It was a delicious end to a refreshing summer dinner.
