Dress of the Week: Ivory with Black Lace by Les Jupons de Tess of Paris!

With detail as amazing as this:
You can see why it's Dress of the Week.
We are thrilled to kick off our Paris coverage of Dress of the Week-our first entry ever from the fashionable city is from Les Jupons de Tess, created by master designer Caroline Tannous.
From the collection of Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 we are pleased to present to you the Ivory with Black Lace Dress by Les Jupons de Tess!
Here it is on the model in red:

The neckline is universally flattering and feminine without being too revealing.
It zips on the side and the zipper is well-hidden and easily operated.
As you can see the stitching is also pristine.   This was submitted under our Peachy Ahoy nautical fashion theme and of course this would be absolutely stunning on your yacht, but we loved it so much we decided to make it dress of the week!
Even the hem is perfect and finished with care.

More on Les Jupons de Tess:

Les Jupons de Tess continues to surprise us with a new collection whose heroines are straight out of a Laclos novel.

This season is particularly characterised by the use of bold colours…

The label, usually associated with delicate neutral shades, is this season unveiling a passionate red…

“La Bourgeoise” is decadent in red satin, finished with delicate black lace.

The collection remains true to the brand with its exceptional pieces, expressing the luxury and coquettish style of women in the 18th century.

You will also discover “La Courtisane”, an utterly seductive line in black silk satin decorated with a jewel. Already destined to be worn on the most special occasions.

“La Gourmande” are like candies in spotted satin, just waiting to be unwrapped.

You will also discover La Voluptueuse, L’Impertinente, and La Sultane with its touch of the Orient…

Lustrous fabrics such as silk crepe and French “leavers” lace can still be found, as well as new additions such as revamped leopard print, perfect for temptresses.

And finally, for its second season, LJT surprises us with its wonderfully sexy new lines: L’Indiscrète, La Songeuse and La Favorite.

Just as creative as its big sister, but at more accessible prices.

The 18th century world is also evident here in these deliciously flirtatious designs.

Irresistible promises that will still be delighting us next winter…
Les Jupons de Tess is highly recommended by Whom You Know.

ABOUT THIS BRAND:
“When the past is brought back to life in the most charmingly enchanting way...
It’s the story of a young woman who, while watching the burgeoning curves of her stomach, caught herself wondering how to express the growing beauty of her daughter Tess.
Thus the line of lingerie was born, like a water lily gently emerging”
-Delphine Ballester
Les Jupons de Tess is a French lingerie label creating collections inspired by the elegance of the 18th century woman.
It is an era characterised by the ‘Art de la toilette’ and female ‘coquetterie’.
Symbols of the period, such as frills and ribbons, adorn the various styles.
These "Boudoir" collections have been updated to create a glamorous range of corsetry and lingerie for a woman who, depending on her mood, wants to be flirtatious, seductive or mischievous.
The features that most strongly evoke this period include bodices with fitted corsets, the use of silk, the influence of English fashion, pieces in sheer cotton, high-waisted chiffon gowns...
The result is a delicate collection, using finely worked, elegant and luxurious fabrics.
Layers of chiffon, “Leavers” lace and silks combine to create a couture feel.
Inspiration sometimes starts with a single detail which then takes shape. It could be a neckline, a sleeve, a pattern, a way of tying a ribbon...and the imagination does the rest.
The “So Naughty” line is a range which is as chic as it is flirtatious.
The “Basics”, made from microfibre, were designed to be ‘cocooning’ loungewear, but also to be worn outdoors.
The majority of these pieces can be worn as underwear or outerwear.
Corsets as belts, camisoles as tops, slips as tunics, cotton pieces as beachwear...
The styles available are: underwired bras, halter neck triangle bras, smocked cotton bra tops, camisoles, slip sets, thongs, briefs, shorts, full briefs, corsets, suspender belts, and "soft" basques.
Chosen as a “coup de cÅ“ur” label by Chantal Thomass and Christine Walter-Bonini, Director of the prestigious ESMOD fashion school, at the salon de la lingerie in January 2009, Les Jupons de Tess is clearly a very promising young label whose new collection we absolutely adore!
