DAYLIGHT: Top 20 Brands to Watch According to Whom You Know - The New York International Gift Fair at the Javits Center January and February 2012

We have been telling you about the Gift Fair in several updates in Gorgeous Gifts for Mr. and Ms. Imposible to Shop For....here is one big one:
We have seen most of it and by sheer size this is probably the biggest trade show we attend, twice a year.  You absolutely must wear sneakers to get through it until Cathy Steel starts allowing Rollerblades...We loved seeing old favorites like The Laundry at Linens Limited and Folkmanis and of course we go to this to also discover new great brands to write about.  This time we did notice more products made in the USA!  We also have had great luck with many products made in Europe, especially in Ireland, the UK, France and Italy.  No one seems to want to advertise in their booths that they are made in any part of Asia...and we wish more of these brands would manufacture here of course, especially when the product is designed by Americans...but you know we tell you when we find something superb made in the USA.  We even did a preview review with Rifle Paper Company...  Normally we come out with top ten lists, but if you have been to this show you know how many booths there are so ten is not realistic-20 is though!  We are not recommending them at this stage as we have not worked with them, but these show more promise than most.  We are not including in this list brands we have already recommended....you know we love them already!
