The O Street Museum in The Mansion on O Street in Washington DC hosted a book signing for Meera
Gandhi’s new coffee-table book, Giving Back, at an afternoon reception on Saturday, July 21st, 2012.
H H Leonards-Spero, Founder of the Mansion on O Street, welcomed Meera Gandhi, CEO and
Founder of the Giving Back Foundation, and a group of “movers and shakers” from the Washington, DC
area.

Meera Gandhi’s short documentary film, also entitled Giving Back, was shown before the reception and
book signing.
Among the guests in attendance was Mr. Sudhakar Dalela, who is Minister (Political) at the
Embassy of India in Washington DC.

The Washington, DC book launch for Giving Back follows other events that have taken place
globally to introduce the new book over the past six months in New Delhi, India; Hong Kong; Istanbul,
Turkey; Hyde Park, NY; New York City and London.

The Giving Back Foundation, with operations in London, Hong Kong, New York and Mumbai,
is a not-for-profit organization founded by Meera Gandhi in 2010.
Its beneficiaries include carefully selected existing charities and individuals around the world, with
special emphasis on women and children in need, education and the arts. The Foundation’s motto is,
“We are to the universe only as much as we give back to it.”
