Salon Peachy: Off With Her Hair, only at The Cutler Salon on 57th Street in Manhattan! A New Look for Fall on Peachy Deegan by the Highly Skilled Cutler Salon Team of Color Goddess Gaby Bowen and National Stylist to the Stars Kelsy Osterman! The Cutler Salon Continues to Earn Whom You Know's Highest Recommendation.

AFTER the haircut....

No longer will we be honoring requests that say: "Rapunzelpeachy, Rapunzelpeachy, let your hair down!"

Rather it was OFF WITH HER HAIR!  Long hair is fun for summer and terrific all year and we had been getting the same trim for quite awhile in the past.

Three inches might not be much for some people, but to us is was a complete difference.
And in case you wonder what we look like without makeup, there you go minus the lipstick.  Peachy Deegan does not wear makeup all the time, particularly on hot days in the summer when it seems to melt off and look worse than no makeup.
So, why the chop?

Change can be quite good...Peachy Deegan was inspired by the Kate Spade ad captioned:
"...she took coffee breaks with her beau perhaps a little more often than she should."
So, we brought in the picture.
And you should know even the coffee at The Cutler Salon is good.
Because Cutler is the best, every time your hair is done before it is even touched, a consultation happens.  We love to work with Gaby Bowen, color goddess, and Mover and Shaker Kelsy Osterman, supremely talented stylist.  Other than Mover and Shaker Rodney Cutler himself, this is our personal dream team because they always do what is agreed upon and Peachy winds up looking like a movie star although, more accurately she is the movie critic.  No kidding, people do stop her on the street and compliment her look afterwards, and they are total strangers.  This does not happen when she does her hair herself, so we know it is all Gaby and Kelsy's talent.  If you look at the picture of Peachy and Regis to the right, they did her hair then too.
In the consultation, smart stylists and colorists will ask you a lot of questions back, particularly if you do bring in a picture.  They will ask you what it is you like about the picture....
Gaby concluded:
"We're going to start transitioning your hair to a little bit lighter: more of a sandy brown.  No red.  (Peachy's worst nightmare is red hair on herself.)  And then we're going to cover up the silver as well.  We're using Redken Shades EQ and Redken Permanent Color.  Level 6 for the roots and Level 8 and 9 mixed for the glaze."
Kelsy summarized:
"We're going to give you a fall haircut.  A little bit shorter through the length but nice long swishy layers in the front.  Bouncy!  Off the face...It will give you a little bit more support with the layers and it will look chic."
Note if you are not lucky enough to be in Manhattan to get your hair done, Kelsy travels to Minneapolis and Los Angeles to do hair there now.  We could not be happier with her and you absolutely should be lining up at her door.

Her site tells us:

Kelsy’s celebrity clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Courtney Love, Olivia Palermo and Leila Moss.
Kelsy herself is supermodest and we did not realize that she worked with them from our conversations!  She also does beaucoup de editorial work.

There are many places where you could get your hair done, but we know no one does it better than Cutler and are proud to say we have recommended them for years now.  They genuinely take care in what they do and they take pride in their work.  Most people in Manhattan have stressful careers and crazy lives and achieve quite a lot.  These people feel like going to Cutler is like a vacation in your backyard.  The mood at the Cutler Salon is upbeat and positive, and it is a complete joy to go there.  Rodney himself sets this positive professional tone.
The front feature pieces were brought up to a couple inches below the jaw and bringing the new length to an inch below that.  The long layers do give a nice sway.
Kelsy says: "It's a good time of year to be bringing your length up.  At the end of the summer you can clean up those ends after being in the sun.  You look sharp and you look ready for fall."

So what do you think?  Does she look like the ad?  As much as she can.  No way will she ever be that tall...We are thrilled with the final result.
The Cutler Salon continues to earn Whom You Know's Highest Recommendation, and they are the official salon of Whom You Know.
Bravo Gaby, Kelsy and Rodney!
