Whom You Know is Thrilled to Inauguarate Coverage of the Oldest British Footwear Brand in Existence! We Highly Recommend the Lotus Sabelo Wedge Loafer Black Leather Which Is Perfect For Fall No Matter What Side of the Pond You Are On! On Trend Styling from Lotus for Autumn/Winter 2013 Excites Americans Everywhere in the Know.

We'd surmise even the Dowager Countess would approve of this brand.
(It's even older than her, and it doesn't involve a daily fight with an American.)
Whom You Know could not be more thrilled to inaugurate our coverage of Lotus Shoes, which has been pursuing excellence since 1759.
As the oldest British footwear brand in existence Lotus has an indisputable heritage that tells an insightful story, not only into the legacy of the brand but into the evolution of the footwear industry.

Times have certainly changed since handcrafted shoes were produced from the Bostock small family home-come-workshop in 1759, but 250 years on the Lotus ethos of offering footwear styles for men and women that are of exceptional quality and fit remains.

Our television column, Small Screen Scenes, has been dominated by the BBC's releases in America:
We eat the best fish and chips in America at Go Fish:
Our friend Meera and The Giving Back Foundation involve the English like her friend Cherie Blair:
Our friend Rosamond is exhibiting in Pall Mall soon in London:
We could go on and on, but you can see it is high time we put
something English on our feet.
Especially since we've got four columns on shoes.
And it's not just any brand from the UK.  Lotus is even older than the USA.  When Lotus began, the British were fighting the French and Indian War and the Battle of Ticonderoga.   Arthur Guiness started the Guinness Brewing Company.  King George ascended to the throne a year later in 1760.  In 1759 the American Revolution had not yet started (but if you want to read about that, read the equally amazing books Bunker Hill and Revolutionary Summer.)  In 1759, the colonies here (remember there WAS no America until 1776) had a pretty good relationship with the British.  It was before the Stamp Act, before the Tea Party and peace was reached in 1783.  We are glad we are friends again, and if the British keep making shoes like this, Americans will want to be their friend in a big way.
Lotus is leading the way this season with an impeccable new collection of sumptuous shoes and boots and once again the range boasts an extensive catalogue of stylish designs that capture the perfect balance between fashion and elegance.  This is not always easy to find in the American market which can be saturated by styles that kill your feet and lack class, to put it nicely.  We are so impressed with the Sabelo, we're even going to honor their way of spelling though by about 1787 Noah Webster came up with our American version.   Ooops, we think we meant honour.
You're headed in the right direction when your feet look like this.
Sabelo
The Sabelo is a modern classic that you can dress up or down successfully, and they are comfortable enough to go from office to drinks on the town.  If Peachy were wearing them in London, she'd go to Smollensky's and order a Raspberry Mule if they still have them.
As the loafer trend gains more momentum this season, Lotus presents ‘Sabelo’.  We believe loafers never go out of fashion.  On the Sabelo, tassels grace the loafer upper, but what gives the Lotus ‘Sabelo’ leather style a new season spin is the 4cm wedge heel!  At a towering 5'1", Peachy loves this added height.  Watch out, she is now a giant.
Put your right foot forward with Lotus!
And your left one next.
Sabelo is Highly Recommended by Whom You Know.
It's what you should wear to work, after out to play, and to all the tea parties of 2013.  (just keep that tea in your cup and no harbor dumping.)
