Galway Crystal Hugging Bears by Belleek Recommended by Whom You Know! A Brilliant Gift For All Ages Says Peachy Deegan. We are Thrilled to Kick Off Coverage of Galway Irish Crystal!

Galway Crystal Hugging Bears

Who doesn't love hugging bears?!?!?  There are a lot of brands of crystal on the market, so we'd like to draw your attention to the one that has captivated us most: Galway Crystal.
Galway Crystal has long been one of the world's best known and loved brands of traditionally crafted crystal. Nestled in the heart of the West of Ireland, on the shores of Galway Bay, Galway Crystal is steeped in the rich and diverse heritage of this unique hinterland. Galway's inspiration comes from the sheer beauty of the surrounding countryside – Connemara, Galway Bay and Lough Corrib and from the wealth of history and folklore which is synonymous with Galway, the famous City of the Tribes. The beautiful ranges of tabletop stemware and giftware reflect these influences in their timeless elegance.
The Deegan Girls
Peachy's great-great grandmother Maria Finneran came to America from the Galway/Roscommon area (and if you are in Ireland and want to research this for us, let us know!  We tried, in Ireland.)  Maria is pictured as the grandmother in this picture with Peachy's grandmother to the top right with her two sisters.
From Galway Crystal, a cute accent for someone you love, two adorable bears, cut with diamond-like facets that reflect and prism light to sparkle forever.  They are just beautiful and are even more attractive in person than in the pictures.
We suggest putting them in sunlight to capture all of their brilliance.  They are quiet and mostly behave.  Except sometimes they like to go to The Milton and drink cocktails with Tomas and Liam.  Then they come home like this because the cocktails are so good:
Just kidding.  More on The Milton later.  These make a terrific gift as a collectible for a child, boy or girl, who will undoubtedly treasure it for the rest of their lives as a keepsake, or for anyone that loves gorgeous crystal.
They loved the camera and insisted on being captured from every angle:
Galway Crystal is a division of Belleek, and earlier this week we featured the Belleek shamrock mug designed and made in Ireland:
Who needs three bears when you've got these two?
Goldilocks not included.
