Whom You Know first featured Patsy's Italian restaurant in March 2009, fewer than two months after we started:
Mimi's Pizza, which recently closed, was our first food feature ever the first week we started in January of 2009 but now Patsy's is the longest running featured restaurant on whomyouknow.com.
Patsy's was last featured in the Fall of 2016:
People that are the best continue to be that way because of their clear cut commitment to excellence and dedication to being a great business both in terms of culinary accomplishment and personal relationships, and probably no one is more popular than Sal.  He should run for Mayor.  Recently on Whom You Know, both Peanut Scognamillo:
and CoCo Scognamillo were featured:
Peanut we hope you have fully recovered and have every confidence that your dinner options fully contribute to your speedy recovery.
This visit, we began with the superlatively decadent Spiedino Alla Romana: layers of bread and mozzarella fried and served with an anchovy butter sauce.  Its ultimate succulent qualities superbly accented with the anchovy will kick your appetite into high gear.  It is like a pillow filled with goodness that greets you after a long week.  Inside it is super delicious and looks like this:
We have no doubt that one of the best salads in town is the Chopped Salad at Patsy's, and we even trust them to dress it just right.  (Normally we always ask for dressing on the side, but we have known Sal...)  Iceberg, arugula, perfectly chopped pimentos, tomatoes and anchovy team up for a nutritional winner.  If you think you don't like anchovies, trust us, you will like these anchovies.  The accent that they bring to the mix is the exclamation point of perfection!  This salad screams crunchy and fresh and is an absolute essential to your meal.  Sal is so talented that he even makes vegetables wow you, which brings us to our next point:
If you see Asparagus Wraps on the Specials menu we'd encourage you to make fast friends with them.  Sal recommended them to us and they are now one of our favorites on the menu and we think they've earned a permanent spot.  Sauteed green asparagus and a cheese mixture of mozzarella, ricotta and Parmigiano-Reggiano is wrapped in a sublime prosciutto and served with fresh tomatoes and Marinara sauce.  It is pure winter perfection emanating tomato ecstasy over flavorful asparagus.  A genius combination!
It is even more deliciously decadent with cheese.
Meet Manicotti perfection.
Every manicotti dreams of growing up to be the Manicotti on your plate at Patsy's!
Everything on Patsy's menu is amazing and believe it or not their menu is so deep there are still dishes we have not tried yet.  This 5-star gold-medal winning Perfect Ten Manicotti is stuffed with that trifecta Holy Trinity of cheese mentioned with the asparagus: mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano served with a Tomato Basil Sauce.  All we have to say is tasting this will be the pinnacle of your Manhattan existence and there are no sophomore acts for this dish.  The proportion of the ingredients to each other and the cheese and sauce of perfection make Peachy Deegan dream of this regularly.  This dish is on par with the green light at the end of Daisy Buchanan's dock for Gatsby but even better because it is attainable.
Shrimp Scampi is high on our list and Patsy's has one of the best we've had and possibly the best.  (We don't try them all at the same time!)  Fragrant seafood decadence awaits you in the form of perfectly butterflied shrimp, embellished with the absolute perfect touch of garlic culminating in an extraordinary oceanlife experience on your plate which is especially appreciated in the dead of winter (it got cold again in Manhattan!).  Tasting this will make you feel like it's summer if only on your plate.

The butterflied wonders insisted on some glamour shots.
Sal suggested the meat entree we decided upon: Pork Rollatine.  It's one of their famous dishes!  Bacon-wrapped pork scaloppine is stuffed with that mozzarella that you keep falling in love with again and again and prosciutto-and roasted and finished in a reduction of pan juices and white wine.  The mashed potato on the side is equally magnificent and enchanting escarole also come to the party named your dinner.
You really need to save room for dessert, as their choices are the best and even come on a cart.
There is no such thing as being too full for dessert at Patsy's and every bite of the Napoleon cake is a creamy triumph!
We were also delighted to meet Ron and Cindy Denning, visiting from Staples, Minnesota.
Patsy's continues to be Highly Recommended; everyone knows it was Frank Sinatra's favorite.
Make it one of your favorites!
