We have simple taste; we like the best.
We're so pleased to announce the first to earn a review in Tea with Peachy Deegan is The Ritz-Carlton Central Park South, Seasons of Central Park: Spring Afternoon Tea.
It's simply one of the most elevated experiences one can enjoy in Manhattan, and for the person that thinks they have experienced everything, you have not yet lived this level of quality until you've visited The Star Lounge for Afternoon Tea.  For those that enjoy the highest variance of taste levels, you'll find this to be perfection.
The decor, fine china (Wedgewood), atmosphere and overall quality visit is offered seven days a week, and reservations are a must.
Seatings are at 2pm and 4pm.
The Ritz-Carlton Central Park South is happy to create for you a bespoke experience for birthdays or anniversaries when you book your reservation on the phone - 212 521 6125 - just mention the occasion and they'll be so pleased to make your day extraordinary.
An entire page of the menu is devoted to tea; Food and Beverage Manager Dany Hasbani has selected a gorgeous Cherry Blossom Green Tea for the season of spring, and we look forward to telling you about future seasons.
The Ritz-Carlton Central Park South shares:
Spring always breathes new life into New York City, shaking off its winter chills as the temperatures rise and parks bloom brightly, punctuated by the beautiful cherry blossom trees originally gifted to the park by Japan.  Central Park provides a stunning show every season, but when the cherry trees are blossoming is by far the most mesmerizing.  After strolling through the park or around the city, our Afternoon Tea menu is the perfect complement to your spring awakening.
Dany picked a most suitable Cherry Blossom Green Tea to celebrate this season, and the presentation is flawless and gorgeous.  The smooth, fragrant, soothing Japanese Sencha green tea reflects not only the park's beauty but also the season overall.  With each appropriately piping hot sip that is the perfect temperature - not too hot - you'll luxuriate in the inspiration of the season's natural flavor.
Dany Hasbani and the team at The Ritz-Carlton Central Park South have created a beautiful menu of three courses for you to enjoy during tea: savory, scone and dessert.
You'll begin with savory: An Assortment of Sandwiches.
The menu is nicely balanced between seafood, meat and vegetarian.
On the top, please meet on the left: Watermelon Radish, Meyer Lemon Aioli, Poppy Seed on Brioche and on the right Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Goat Cheese, Sundried Tomato Pesto and Black Olive.  These vegetable endeavors are a lovely beginning to this splendid tea.
On the bottom a Pickled Shrimp with Herb Remoulade, English Cucumber and Chervil; Smoked Duck Salad embellished with Yuzu Marmalade, Soy Pearls arrive in style in a sesame cone, and Bourbon Black Pepper Smoked Salmon is on the front right with Caper Chive Creme Fraiche, Caviar and Pumpernickel: this last one was Peachy Deegan's favorite of this elevated experience.
All accompaniments are of the utmost quality to mirror the taste levels achieved in this tea.
The next course is the homemade golden raisin scone with fruit preserves and devonshire cream, however, you should know that this scone is so splendidly spectacular that it does not necessarily need enhancement!  We suggest breaking it up and trying it standalone as well as with these embellishments.
The Grand Finale of the Tea is the third course of dessert: an Assortment of Petit Fours.
You'll be absolutely delighted by the Key Lime Bar, Strawberry Shortcake, Rhubarb Financier, Chocolate Dipped Sable Breton, Chocolate Macroon and Almond Rainbow Cookie.
Tea at The Ritz Carlton Central Park South Spring 2017 has earned our Highest Recommendation.
