FASHION WEEK FALL 2009: Tibi New York! Peachy Loved It!

"Fall is about a light hearted moodiness influenced by the Russian fairytale 'The Tale of the Firebird.'" -Amy Smilovic

Amy Smilovic did a fantastic job with the Tibi line!! Tsars, enchanted birds, and Russian folklore are the inspiration for the Tibi Fall 2009 collection.

The Tale Of The Firebird is the backdrop for a grouping comprised of moody hues of navy, fuchsia, silver and teal. Fairytale elements set the points of reference for a collection that is a mixture of asymmetrical hemlines, crystal beads, ruffles, and plenty of ease. Think princess meets prince in the chicest possible way.

36 enchanting looks captured the audience to the great beat of an updated version of George Michael's "Careless Whisper." Peachy's most favorite looks were: the Siberian Cape Coat, the Karam Paisley Tunic, the Yelena Scallop dress, and the Snowmaiden Gown.

Peachy Deegan absolutely loved it and thanks Liz Walker for her great work.

Note: The Tale of the Firebird is a Russian fairytale by Gennady Spirin.
