MOVERS AND SHAKERS: Pim Shih, Comedian

Pim Shih is a rising comedian who brings relationship management experience to the stage. After training in comedy at the New School, Pim performed in prestigious venues throughout New York City such as the Gotham Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live, New York Comedy Club, Stand Up New York, Magnet Theater, Comedy Village, and the PIT. Pim has developed his relationship management skills through sales experiences working with major Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

In 2008 Pim Shih Co-Founded theSet NYC. theSet NYC is more than just an engaging variety show with rising entertainers. theSet NYC started from an idea. Personally witnessing that rising talent in New York City lacked a supportive network and structure, theSet NYC was founded in February 2008 to build a positive community. theSet has achieved this goal by providing these creative personalities a platform for promotion, a relaxed and unique atmosphere to showcase talent, and entertaining productions to build connections within the industry.

Since its founding, theSet has quickly gained popularity through its emphasis on professionalism. Each production has been well received by both the talent community and audience members, which usually number from 70 to 100, are young professionals, and range from ages 21 to 35. As theSet continues to grow, they welcome new collaborations to continue to build this positive community. Peachy Deegan recently chatted with Pim Shih for Whom You Know.
