NIGHTLIGHT: DEBBIE HARRY PERFORMED AT THE LAUNCH OF CARRERA VINTAGE-INSPIRED SUNGLASSES
 March 13

Whom You Know knows there is nothing cooler than wearing sunglasses at night- especially when Blondie is singing! Debbie Harry, Grammy award-winning artist and lead singer for the punk rock/New Wave band Blondie, returned from the ‘80s to launch the new line of CARRERA vintage-inspired sunglasses and to perform her hits for VIPs including Taylor Momsen, Agyness Deyn, Richie Rich, Tyson Beckford, singer Peaches, model Jamie Burke, model Daisy Lowe, Danity Kane’s Dawn Richard, rapper Lil’ Mama, actor Danny Aiello, fashion designer Patricia Field, photographer Mick Rock, DJ Josh Madden and many others at the exclusive retro-themed celebration. DJs Jesse Marco, Mia Moretti and Miss Guy spun all night on Friday March 13.

Fans of the retro shades include Gwen Stefani, Kanye West, Victoria and David Beckham, Blake Lively, Usher, Paris Hilton, T.I., Jennifer Hudson and Daniel Craig to name a few.

Iconic eyewear brand CARRERA, one of the most popular sunglass brands of the 1980s, celebrated the launch of CARRERA Vintage Sunglasses, a collection of unisex retro-inspired eyewear available in 13 different styles (many of which were recreated from their original molds), including: “Champion,” “Safari,” “Gipsy” “Hot” and “Cool.” The shades come in a wide variety of retro frame colors including: cream and pink, white and blue, orange and brown, black and yellow and turquoise and white. Peachy Deegan liked turquoise the best...

Guests watched Harry perform her hit songs including an explosive rendition of "Rapture," from the venue's main floor and mezzanine. VIPs were treated to pairs of the new shades and many wore them throughout the night, creating a party atmosphere evoking the heyday of New York in the '80s.

The new line of Carrera retro-inspired shades are available nationwide at Solstice Sunglass Boutiques and Bloomingdale's, among other retailers.

The event was held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation (172 Norfolk Street, New York).

Thank you Cory!
