MOVERS AND SHAKERS: Anna Wintour, Editor-In-Chief of Vogue

This one hardly needs an introduction, so we will just skip it for now. Anna Wintour, Editor-In-Chief of Vogue, was in attendance this morning at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Press Preview for The Model as Muse. Ever gracious, Anna shook Peachy Deegan's hand when offered to her and answered her questions. Peachy originally asked Anna if she had thirty seconds, and Anna gave her a full minute. (EVERYONE was after Anna to interview as you might imagine, so a minute was quite generous.) Whom You Know will be inviting Anna Wintour to do a full Mover and Shaker interview at a later date.

Peachy Deegan to Anna Wintour: What was the most enjoyable part of doing this exhibit?
Anna Wintour: I think working with my colleagues: with Harold [Harold Koda, Curator in Charge of the Costume Institute] I've worked with for many years with the Costume Institute, and then with John Myhre, who designed the exhibition, and of course with Julien D'Ys who has such an incredibly creative point of view and always manages to put those magical finishing touches on everything whether it's the grunge room or the hair or the incredible mannequins that he and Marc [Jacobs] created in the main hall and obviously our sponsors, Marc Jacobs, who has been a personal friend of mine for so many years and it's just so much fun to be working with him on something like this.

Peachy: What was the most challenging aspect of putting it together?
Anna: Well-what to leave in and what to leave out! As you can imagine there was so much material.

Peachy: If you could have put in one more thing, what would you have put in?
Anna: More gallery space!

Peachy Deegan is so happy that Anna smiled, laughed and nodded with the conclusion of this short and sweet interview. We hope to feature Anna Wintour many more times on Whom You Know.
