NIGHTLIGHT: Peachy Deegan explores the Best of Manhattan at New York Magazine's 11th Annual New York Taste!

Held at Skylight Studios, the 11th Annual New York Taste was the place to be last night for anyone in Manhattan that eats!  Whom You Know strongly recommends this event and we cannot wait to go again next year.  New York Media’s 11th annual New York Taste event is hosted by New York culinary editor Gillian Duffy and features chefs and mixologists from many of New York City’s top restaurants and lounges greeting over 1,000 guests with tastings of their signature dishes and drinks.  A fabulous class act by everyone involved!  Our favorites of the evening were by Craig Hopson of Le Cirque and Patrick Connolly of Bobo.  Every table had something delightful to offer and Peachy was very happy there was a bit of give in her Donna Ricco dress.  A portion of the evening’s proceeds benefitted City Harvest to help fight hunger.    The Official Sponsors were 901 Silver Tequila (recommended by Whom You Know!), Cotes du Rhone,  and Pepperidge Farm.

To celebrate the 11th annual New York Taste and to showcase some of the best ways to use 901 Silver during the fall and holiday season, Master Mixologist Junior Merino (we look forward to featuring him in further posts!) created the following cocktails:

901 ECO Pepino - 901 Silver Tequila, Cucumber, Agave Nectar, Lime Juice, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Basil, Combier (orange liqueur)

901 Manzidra - 901 Silver Tequila, Apple Cider, Orange Juice, Cranberry Essence and Royal Combier

901 Tostanja - 901 Silver Tequila, Rothman & Winter Orchard Apricot, Tangerine, Tea and Roasted Agave - this was Peachy's favorite!

901 Jengrico - 901 Silver Tequila, Domaine de Canton, Grapefruit, Blood Orange and Citrus

Pepperidge Farm® Baked Naturals featured original recipes from Real Housewives of NYC’s Bethenny Frankel.

Award-winning architect David Rockwell of design firm Rockwell Group lended his talents to the event and reinterpreted traditional culinary kitchenware with a dynamic, multi-dimensional installation. Rockwell Group designed the main bar with an innovative green countertop composed of 75% recycled content from event sponsor ECO™ by Cosentino.
