Adrenaline™ GTS 10 by Brooks is Love Love Loved by Peachy Deegan! Whom You Know kicks off our Coverage of Brooks

We must say straightaway that this is the first pair of Brooks that Peachy Deegan has owned, and in her shoe wardrobe (we will not say how many pairs!) this is a very welcome entry.  If we knew how modern, comfortable, and effective this brand was we would not have waited until December to write about it!  It is not often that our expectations are surpassed and in this case they have been: Peachy Deegan love love LOVES the Adrenaline™ GTS 10. You all need a pair, and here is why:

Always the leader, the Adrenaline™ GTS 10 has left the pack even further behind. The fit? Never better. The support? Perfection. As the legend hits double digits with its tenth iteration, the shoe is more dialed-in than ever. Now with a plush Profile Sockliner to sweeten the feel.
Midsole • Rearfoot HydroFlow® ST • Forefoot HydroFlow® • Full-length BioMoGo • Diagonal Rollbar (DRB®) • DRB® Accel • Full-length S-257 Cushsole

Hydroflow –Dynamic viscous fluid units for heel and forefoot enhance midsole cushioning—attenuating shock with industryleading dampening and comfort.
BioMOGO–They’ve taken the long-lasting cushioning of the MoGo midsole and made it environmentally friendly. How, you ask? By adding a non-toxic, natural additive to the MoGo compound that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away once it hits the landfill.
Diagonal Rollbar (drB®)–A high-density post at the medial arch is engineered for pronation control and creates a smoother transition from the midstance phase into the propulsion phase.
DRB® ACCEL–Enhances tunable torsion of the midfoot. Shank-like thermoplastic devices vary from single units of a set modulus, to dual- unit versions of varied modulus (tuned with higher stiffness for medial support, the lateral side less stiff to smooth the ride).

Outsole
• HPR Plus • Forefoot Stable Pod Construction • Blown Rubber Forefoot
Hpr Plus–A higher durability, abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that wears longer.
Engineered Stable Pod Configuration–Midsole and outsole components are engineered to set the foot up in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering maximum stability and responsiveness.

Upper • Engage Sockliner • Moisture-managing Element Mesh • Synthetic Overlay Materials • Moisture-managing Element Linings • Internal Support Saddle Element–Upper technology featuring superior microfiber construction to provide weather protection in a light, supple, quiet fabric that doesn’t sacrifice breathability, durability, or comfort.

Brooks’ Adrenaline™ GTS celebrates its tenth edition, with great comments by editors and wear-testers alike.  Going strong since the first iteration in 1995, the Adrenaline GTS has been the go-to-support shoe for millions of runners worldwide.

“The Adrenaline™ GTS is a pillar of the Brooks brand, and we are thrilled that it has been recognized and honored,” said Jim Weber, president and CEO of Brooks. “As a brand, we focus on creating shoes that allow runners to run longer, farther and faster. We’re constantly striving to innovate and improve our products to accomplish that goal and the “Best Update” win for the Adrenaline™ GTS 10 is a testament to that.”

In celebration of the Adrenaline™’s tenth edition, Brooks has reduced the retail price of the Adrenaline™ GTS 10 to $100. As of November 1, 2009, the shoe is available in one color way each for men and women with an additional two colors launching in January 2010.

The Launch, honored as Runner’s World’s “Best Debut” in its Winter 2009 Shoe Guide, is a lightweight neutral trainer equipped with an extremely flexible outsole and seamless heel-to-toe transition that works for many mid foot and forefoot strikers. Reviewed as “a fantastic new shoe that is lightweight, flexible and supportive with a fast feel,” the Launch “fit a range of foot types.” The magazine’s wear-testers applauded “the way the shoe moved with the foot” and commented on the Launch’s “lightweight” feel.

“The Launch is an exceptional addition to our competition line,” said Andre Kriwet, director of footwear merchandising at Brooks Sports, Inc. “Feedback from consumers and retailers has been extremely positive and we’re excited it performed to our expectations for Runner’s World.”
