Targeting Dendrites: Melanocytes, the cells which cause hyperpigmentation are located at the base of the epidermis and have “arms”, called dendrites that extend to the skin’s surface, causing discoloration. UV rays, inflammation and aging increase the production of melanosomes that are carried by the dendrites. Bright Plus HP controls the protein synthesis to inhibit the growth of dendrites, minimizing dark spots and making skin appear brighter and more translucent.

Sea Lily: This fascinating plant is a wonder of nature and symbol of absolute beauty. Its seeds have crossed the seas to take root on the Atlantic coast of Brittany, France. It is exposed to windswept sands and blazing sun all year long. Yet, it remains pure white and resilient. Clarins Laboratories discovered that the sea lily extract controls the extension of dendrites that deliver melanin pigments to the skin’s surface.

Threatened with extinction, Sea Lily is now a protected species in France. Only the flowers and leaves are used so the bulbs can be preserved and continue to propagate.
