Charitable Peachy: Teddy Share, LLC by Sharon Bush

Sharon Bush created Teddy Share, LLC in 2008. Since everyone loves teddy bears, her goal was to create a series of bears that would raise money for charitable organizations. Through Teddy Share, every charity can have individualized teddy bears.  We think this is an excellent idea!

In 1989, Sharon began raising money to help homeless and abused children in the US through KARITAS, her non-profit organization, which gave a percentage of proceeds of licensed children's products. That concept has blossomed into its own company. Today, KARITAS shares profits with children and families throughout the world.

For Teddy Share's debut bears, Sharon teamed up with FEED Projects, which has raised $5,000,000 to feed hungry school children around the world. We have featured FEED bags before through Lord & Taylor and support Lauren Bush and FEED:

Through the sale of Plumpy (FEED 5) and Nut (FEED 3) bears, they are able to reach children five years old and younger who are suffering from acute malnutrition.

The Teddy Share Bear should be an on going reminder to our children that they can help their brothers and sisters who have less than they do, both in this country and in countries far away. Children should talk to their teachers, parents, ministers, rabbis, and others about how they can be helpful in organizing campaigns to actively help other children who are less fortunate. If children are encouraged and guided properly, they really can make a difference in this world.

Teddy Share seeks charitable partners that make a difference in communities all over the world. To talk about forming a partnership with Teddy Share, write for more information:
