Left Bank Gallery Essex's New Exhibit 
Celebrate Connecticut with Left Bank Gallery Essex's opening reception of "The Essence of Essex."  The gallery will present a display of fourteen paintings of the Connecticut River and Essex at the exhibit called "The Essence of Esssex" by Louis Guarnaccia.  The oil paintings capture the calmness of the river and beauty of the setting.  Guarnaccia is traditionally known for his maritime art.  Friday, August 6 (5-7pm) 10 Main Street Historic Essex Village (860)767-0449www.leftbankgalleryessex.com

Cocktails in the Gardens: Vegetable Garden and Tropical Garden
Invite your friends to spend summer evenings in one of the Bartlett's blooming gardens. Each evening promises to be different! Enjoy a sensory feast, garden-themed cocktails, delicious hors d'oeuvres and live music in the beautiful, fragrant gardens at the Bartlett.

Tea for 200
Washington Art Association presents the 14th annual "Tea for Two Hundred" garden party gala to benefit Washington Art Association and the Interfaith AIDS Ministry of Greater Danbury. Held in the exquisite gardens at the Washington Depot home of Gael Hammer, this year's event will include a silent auction, best hat contest and cameo musical performances. Exhibit Opening
The Silvermine Guild Arts Center presents two new exhibits; Language in Art and Directors Choice: Kirill Doron.
