DAYLIGHT: Hublot Celebrates FIFA World Cup Partnership with Exclusive Final Live Screening at Cipriani Wall Street’s Ballroom

Hublot is proud to be the first luxury watch brand ever to become the official timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup 2010. This summer, in order to celebrate this partnership, the Swiss watch brand hosted an exclusive live screening for the final game on Sunday, July 11th at Cipriani Wall Street’s Ballroom in New York City.  It was a beautiful event, and an excellent production by all involved.  From the confetti to the horns on the tables to the flags on the walls to the outstanding lighting, Cipriani Wall Street is an ideal event space.  Also, their sound system was excellent.  The Bellinis are their signature and you cannot go to Cipriani without having at least one, or two...

In the game itself, the goalkeepers played extremely well, but were indeed lucky on several occasions.  Nothing was going in the net, and this of course forced the overtime.  There was no golden goal=no sudden death, and at we believe 115:57 of the game, Spain scored, securing their victory and Cipriani erupted!

The event featured a Hublot CafĂ© and Bar where guests, including Damon Dash, Phoenix Suns Steve Nash, and Giovanni Savarese, were able to immerse themselves in this exciting game at the private ballroom while enjoying Hublotista themed drinks and brunch.

“We are happy to offer this experience to Hublot and World Cup fans alike”, says Hublot’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver. “The Cup is such a wonderful fusion of humanity and passions with thousands of different expressions and colors. It reminds me of a saying I heard a few days ago from a big soccer fan: 'The Earth is round because God loves soccer’”.

“I arrived in New York just in time for the World Cup final”, says Giuseppe Cipriani. “Wall Street burned with World Cup fever and our ballroom is the closest thing to the South African stadium”.
A private viewing of some of the hottest Hublot summer and sports timepieces, including the limited edition watch of the FIFA World Cup, Maradona limited edition and the Manchester United were also available. To encourage the fan’s fervor, Hublot also created a “Hublot world” experience to provide additional entertainment. Guests enjoyed special music mix inspired by Diego Maradona by DJ Shaun Pazel, a Wii station to take on the roles of their favorite soccer players, and much more.

Whom You Know would encourage everyone, particularly Americans, to take a greater interest in the sport of soccer.  It is a game that truly unites the world.  As the world gets smaller, global relations can be improved by sports!  We have seen it, lived it and believe it.

About Hublot
In just five years, Hublot has become one of the most sought-out high-end watch brands with some of its timepieces making watch history, such as the One Million Dollar Big Bang, All Black Big Bang and Mag Bang watches. In 2008 Hublot was bought by the LVMH group with Jean-Claude Biver undoubtedly enjoying his constant challenge as CEO of the brand and leading the company's guiding principle of "Fusion," which combines unusual materials such as gold with ceramic, tantalum, magnesium and titanium with a modern version of Hublot’s rubber strap.
