Champagne Wishes: Whom You Know Highly Recommends BOTTEGA VINAIA ESTATE-BOTTLED PINOT GRIGIO!!!

Among the very best whites we have had all summer is the Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio by Palm Bay.  A 2009 vintage from the Trentino region's Dolomite Alps, this Pinot Grigio is limited production, Estate bottled and simply superb.  Bright and clear, the Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio shines brightly through the Cheers Mikasa white wine glasses, and is particularly brilliant in the swirl glass.  Fresh, fruity and layered, the premium Pinot Grigio tastes far more expensive than it is at $16.99.  Quite balanced, the taste will leave you wanting a second glass whether you are having it with a nice shrimp dish or cheese and crackers.  Of course, serve it chilled.  The presentation of the bottle is pure class with gold and black accents, and the overall experience of the Bottega Vinaia Pinot Grigio exceeeded our expectations.  If you can't hop on a plane to Italy anytime soon, this is the next best thing!  This wine has versatility as well and we believe it is not only a summer white, but one that is enticing throughout the year.

Estate-bottled Bottega Vinaia is the outcome of a vision by lead winemaker Anselmo Martini at the widely recognized Cavit winery. Starting in the early 1990s, Martini sought to explore the optimum potential of a handful of extraordinary vineyards in northern Italy’s Trentino region that, year after year, consistently produce the highest quality grapes. This select group of family-farmed vineyards is the source of Bottega Vinaia, an exceptional line of artisan wines that reflects the authentic qualities of the Trentino terroir. Thanks to Anselmo Martini’s passion and tireless drive, Bottega Vinaia has swiftly joined the ranks of Italy’s top-notch premium wine producers.

Grapes are sourced from a tiny cluster of vineyards located 400-550 meters above sea level in the Dolomite Alps north of Lake Garda. These vineyards share a microclimate and soil conditions singularly well suited to production of high quality Pinot Grigio and have been farmed by the same two families for over 100 years. In daylight hours this area enjoys the warming effects of nearby Lake Garda, helping to keep the fruit moisture-free and resistant to disease. Cool nights promote fragrant, intense aromas uncommon in Pinot Grigio.
