NIGHTLIGHT: The Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club Military Ball

More than 250 guests attended The Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, Coast Guard and Airmen’s Club Military Ball last Friday at the Pierre Hotel in New York City. Every year SSMAC honors a branch of the United States Military and this year, the United States Army is being saluted with patriotic fanfare and festivities.  It was a smashing success!

On-hand was Tony Sirico of “The Sopranos” and “The Last Honeymooner,” Joyce Randolph

Those honored at this annual event received hand-cast brass eagles to commemorate the evening. Military honorees included General Peter W. Chiarelli, Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army and John M. McHugh, Secretary of the United States Army. Accepting the awards for these two distinguished honorees is Army Lieutenant General William J. Troy, Director of Army Staff.

The SSMAC Distinguished Media Achievement Award was presented to television personality and author and our Mover and Shaker Rita Cosby by WPIX-TV legend Marvin Scott, who received the award last year. Dr. and Mrs. Robert D. Wickham, longtime supporters of SSMAC, also were honored for their service to the Club.

Here is Rita as a Mover and Shaker:
