Terrific Takeout: Baker Street

The green salad was as good as you would see in some of the finest restaurants in Manhattan and was much better than most salads we've had in a bar.  High five, Baker Street.   The ingredients were fresh, the combination was superb and they put the dressing on the side, as instructed.
Baker Street has one of the best takeout cuisine in the city coming from a pub, and we are thrilled to tell you that, because of course when people drink, they should eat as well.  Peachy Deegan started with the mozzarella sticks which should come as no surprise to anyone as she is a total pizzaholic.  They were fantastic and cooked just right.
If it were winter instead of June, Peachy would have gone for traditional Irish fare but she is not into stew or shepard's pie in a week where Manhattan has felt 100 degree temperatures, so she opted for a mix of steak and chicken fajitas.  In a world where common sense is not so common, we were happy to see how carefully packaged each component was in this masterpiece that was so flavorful.  And even the rice was addictive.
Of course we were thrilled to see that the tortilla was green-a bit of irish in there even though it's just spinach....
 The finished product:
Baker Street is Terrific Takeout!
Baker Street was the original location for the first TGI Fridays back in 1965.
It was also the Location used for the Movie Cocktail with Tom Cruise shot in 1988.

Baker Street takes its name from the home of Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson lived at 221b Baker Street between 1881-1904, according to the stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The house was last used as a lodging house in 1936 and the famous 1st floor study overlooking Baker Street is still faithfully maintained as it was kept in Victorian Times.
