Snowberry’s Smoothing Eye Serum Highly Recommended by The Beautiful Women of Whom You Know

Anything that can help lighten, tighten and brighten the skin around my eyes gets my attention. Snowberry’s Smoothing Eye serum is a high-quality gel recommended for women 25 years and older. Again the packaging offers a very whimsical and fresh look. I could not wait to get started. So I tapped away on the problem areas as it suggests and felt an instant tightening and cooling sensation. This helped reduce any puffiness and discoloration under my eyes. It even help to visibly reduce any of those annoying crows feet that are aging me. Results to please even the pickiest.

Guess what's here for that delicate skin around the eyes? Snowberry makes a Smoothing Eye Serum that works in tandem with their Intensive Renewal Face Serum, just for the eye area. The Snowberry team explains why we have puffiness, and tells us how this gel works to reduce that, and (that word again), wrinkles. Use the Eye Serum at night, after your cleansing step, and over the Face Serum. We're getting serious with the peptides again, blended in the Eye Serum carefully with herbal extracts. All of the Snowberry products are flower and herb filled, all from their very own farms in New Zealand. Eye products are super important in any skin-care regimen, and we all know about that delicate eye area. Snowberry products work to nourish and protect this skin with their unique extracts, straight from the rainforest of New Zealand. Wonder of wonders, it sounds like a magical place indeed.

I am obsessed with my eyes. More specifically the skin under my eyes. Snowberry's Smoothing Eye Serum has become the antidote to this obsession! Thank goodness they are about to be selling in the US! Their gel contains natural peptides and herbal extracts that truly work. I don't know exactly how but my skin is looking much firmer. Even up close my closest friends have been asking what I did. I had to tell them this secret. Now they are all waiting for it to arrive at Henri Bendel.

I think I'm addicted to the Smoothing Eye serum by Snowberry! It reduces eye puffiness and smoothes out the wrinkles. Its a light cream that instantly seeps into the fine skin around the eye providing moisture. This product is packed with phospholipids which aid in cellular growth and cell regulation. This means stubborn eye puffiness is targeted and in my case it actually subsides! I also noticed that the skin around the eye has become softer. It feels nicer to the touch and looks less "beaten" up. Additionally, makeup glides on without a cakey appearance. Its fabulous.

Snowberry Smoothing Eye Serum is by far the best product for eyes on the market. I love how it isn't a thick and sticky. Its smooth and goes on in a snap. It helps keep your eyes looking young and glowing. A wonderful product to start on for preventative measures. This cream takes your eyes back in time. Just a few days of using it and you'll see for yourself. Give it a try - your eyes will love you for it!

Why, ask many consumers, is an eye serum needed when the skin is essentially the same as it is over the rest of my face? Surely, they say, I can simply buy a face serum and use it around my eyes too? Good questions, says Dr Andy Lavrent, formulator of premium anti-aging skincare range, Snowberry. But, he says, we need to remember two particular peculiarities about ‘eye skin.’

First, the skin under the eyes is up to ten times thinner than on other areas of the face. It becomes increasingly delicate and needs to be treated with extra care. In that sense, a highly functional face serum is likely to be too aggressive for skin of such fragility.

Second, and equally importantly, the skin under the eyes has characteristics not to be found elsewhere. Maturing eye skin tends to lose its firmness and slacken faster than other areas of the face. During this slackening process there is typically a build-up of fat, which hastens the development of ‘eye bags.’ At the same time, poor lymphatic circulation or drainage and increased capillary permeability, a condition known as oedema, contribute to the bagging and sallow appearance of the skin. Quite literally, fluids and fat combine in the under eye skin with disastrous results.

Face serums should not, suggests Dr Lavrent, be formulated to deal with these quite specific issues, since they are not characteristic of the facial skin generally. Consequently, a truly functional eye serum will be designed in such a way that its action on this very sensitive skin is exceptionally gentle, and secondly, it needs a combination of ingredients that will directly counter oedema and fat build-up. For this reason Snowberry uses specific peptides and an extract from the bark of the South American ‘Canon Wood’ tree, that together help to inhibit the permeability of capillaries (literally, repair leaking capillaries), reduce fat deposit accumulation, and at the same time help to prevent the process known as glycation, or degradation of the normal functioning of proteins and lipids in the skin.

It is for these reasons that Snowberry offers its Smoothing Eye Serum, alongside its Intensive Renewal Face Serum. The Eye Serum, Dr Lavrent explains, uses fewer and different peptides and at lower concentrations than the Face Serum. But it is highly targeted and ideally suited to that thinning skin and its special problems.

The difference in activity of the two serums is shown by independent clinical trials. Where the Eye Serum results in an average reduction in the number of wrinkles of 11.03% after 28 days, the Face Serum results in an average reduction of 15.4%. And where the Eye Serum results in an average reduction in wrinkle length of 11.01%, the average wrinkle length reduction achieved by the Face Serum is 25.9% (and as high as 66%).

Snowberry is designed and manufactured in New Zealand and is distributed through select perfumeries and stores in Germany. The brand is especially noteworthy for having among the highest number and combination of specific peptides and anti-oxidants in its serums and creams. It also avoids all petrochemicals, silicones, volatile alcohols and artificial colours. Snowberry has its own bio discovery gardens for the cultivation of native New Zealand rainforest plants for skincare ingredients, and is one of few skincare companies world wide that is certified carbon-neutral.

Snowberry Smoothing Eye Serum retails at USD57 for 15ml.
