READ THIS: Eloise and the Very Secret Room By Ellen Weiss Illustrated by: Tammie Lyon / In the Style of: Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight

What could possibly Eloise’s favorite room in the Plaza? In this Ready-to-Read book, Eloise and the Very Secret Room, you are off on another adventure. Great repetition of words and easy to see. You child will rejoice in every word as they discover her secret room! This room allows her to really pretend and dress up any way she sees fit. Another fun and book inspired by Kay Thompson.

Sometimes I wish I could have my own secret room. My students have said they wished they had a room a home they could hide out in as well. Because of that, I knew that Eloise and the Very Secret Room would be a hit. Because she plays dress up in this room, I knew the girls would love it. When I talked to the entire class about it, I had to talk to them about what kind of secret room they would like instead of a dress up room so we could be like Eloise. I got lots more responses from the boys than I thought. It made way into a perfect writing assignment. I love that Eloise gets my students excited about coming to school.

Would it surprise anyone to know that Eloise loves something that is top secret? Eloise and the Very Secret Room is a great and fun read. The fact that this book is in the form of a Ready to Read is even better. My daughter thinks these books are made for her. They are the perfect size to start to recognize the words and carry along on her own. I keep finding this in her nursery school backpack. I think she likes sharing this one with her friends too!

Eloise rules The Plaza. This is a known fact. She can go wherever her little heart desires, but little does anyone know that she has a secret room. A room so secret that not even Nanny knows about it. In "Eloise and the Very Secret Room", everyone's favorite six year old takes us into her secret room...the "Lost and Found"! Here Eloise can do as she pleases, which of course, is what Eloise does best! In her secret room, Eloise spins, she dresses up, she naps, she yells and she has a grand old time. Until she is discovered by Nanny and The Plaza manager. Oh well, all good things must come to an end. On to bigger and better adventures, I am sure!

Eloise and The Very Secret Room is a fun and easy book to read. Any girl who loves Eloise will love this book. She gets children into the adventure and makes them read on and on. The books are the perfect length for that beginner reader. I love that her books have a great story for children. It really brings me back to my childhood. This book really is a staple.
