Fall 2011 features fun colors and styles that can take you from the office to a dinner engagement or from the grocery store to the kids soccer game. Geiger has tapped all its resources to find out what today's woman wants to see in our Collection. With the input of the Geiger children and feedback from around the world the new “Geiger” look has arrived. This 106-year-old family owned business is stronger than ever with it's new twist on an old favorite: the Tyrolean jacket. Today's version features body hugging lightweight boiled wool that wraps around your body and accents all the positives while concealing the negatives. New buttons, contrast trims and accents make each style a one of a kind item that is sure to get you noticed. Geiger didn't forget our classic customer either. You can still find all those basic items necessary to build an outstanding wardrobe. Some good old favorites in new colors and a few updated versions of a classic cut. Redken Creative Consultant Guido created two different ponytails today at the Ports 1961 and Reed Krakoff Fall 2012 shows, emphasizing what he loves about the “New York sensibility” when it comes to hair. Wearable, effortless-chic styles have replaced meticulous updo’s, especially when paired with rich, luxurious clothes like those in both the Ports 1961 and Reed Krakoff collections. “These little hairstyles that are not so complicated are the ones that are very key,” Guido said.

PORTS 1961

“As the clothes are very dramatic and modern, we want the girl to be modern and not reference any other era. We don’t want it to be romantic, we just want it just to be cool. That cool comes from the nonchalance of the hair, the ease of the hair. If you’re wearing clothes like Ports that are very stylized, you need to give that offset so it’s very important we provide offset with very easy hair.”

REED KRAKOFF

“The style at Reed today is minimal, but exact. It is flatter on top and fuller through the ends, and is all about texture- a truly natural, matte finish. I used our new powder refresh 01 first throughout to give the hair dry texture, and then our new powder grip 03. While powder grip 03 is often used on the roots, I actually used it on the hair shaft to give volume and a matte finish throughout the lengths, which is where I wanted it to plump up the strands.”

Redken Products:

-powder refresh 01 aerosol hair powder/dry shampoo (launches in salons March 1st- - see attached press)

Create the Look:

1. Part hair to the side using a comb when hair is wet.

2. Let hair dry naturally and tuck behind ears.

3. Apply powder refresh 01 lightly from crown to ends to add texture and absorb any excess oil.

4. Shake a small amount powder grip 03 into hands and rub from midlengths to ends for added body and dimension.
