Terrific Takeout: Cupping Room Cafe

The Cupping Room Cafe has some fantastic fare that tastes like home and has the charm of a place open for over three decades in Manhattan.  French toast is something we have never featured in takeout, and since it was served with delicious strawberries and blueberries, we had to try it out.  The fruit was fresh and spring-y to put us in the mood for the better weather, and the quality of the bread was rich and thick as French toast should be.
You know we always order a salad, and a winner on the list at the Cupping Room Cafe is the House Garden Salad.  You can see they do love their cheese here and were quite generous with it-cheddar and jarlsberg to be exact.  Joined by tomato, shredded carrots, cucumber, black olives and sprouts which were especially terrific and crunchy, this salad can certainly make a meal.  As instructed, they put the balsamic dressing on the side.
You may also add grilled or blackened chicken, fresh salmon or fresh tuna but we did not.

We love it when places think ahead, and they did here.
No one wants a soggy bagel and they smartly packaged it separately.
We had a daytime sandwich of Nova Scotia Salmon, scallion, and cream cheese.  The capers and red onion added gave it an extra flair and overall we'd say the Cupping Room Cafe is Terrific Takeout!
