Terrific Takeout: Dylan Murphy's
It is not merely the luck of the Irish that makes the Shepard's Pie so spectacular at Dylan Murphy's...ground sirloin with garden vegetables will warm you up because the March chill is back in the air in New York. The piece de resistance is of course the freshly whipped mashed potatoes which are like cream on the top. It is not easy to find great Irish food as you know or we'd be writing on it a lot more frequently! Dylan Murphy's is much more than just a bar. And they must know Bono too as a note from him is up on the wall with his picture...
We heard their buffalo chicken salad is quite popular, so we decided to give it a try. Crispy buffalo chicken, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers will not disappoint you and they were careful to put the dressing on the side, as requested.
All bar food is not created equal and the chicken cheese quesadillas at Dylan Murphy's suggest that perhaps the Irish are just as good at Mexican as the Mexicans are! Joined by a party of salsa, sour cream and guacamole, these appetizers would compliment a pint of Guinness nicely.

Our bartenders are all pros who love what they do and are easy to have a conversation with which makes the whole experience that much more rewarding. The patrons are a lively bunch, many of whom are well-known by the owners since at least one of the two is usually present to make sure everyone’s having a good time.
The food is excellent! Our menu has a great variety of options, all delicious, but the wings definitely take home the gold and are a crowd favorite (I recommend the hot wings!).
Don’t forget to check out the Nook Bar downstairs! It’s a perfect spot for private parties.
There are several flat-screen TV’s around the bar which are great for viewing sports events and the staff are always happy to accommodate our customers with whatever event they want to watch. Touchtunes is added bonus so that you can pick your favorite songs to listen to.
