Eloise leans out her window and discovers it is snowing! Eloise wants to go outside in the snow and regardless of the fact that it is time for breakfast, Eloise gets her way (of course) and heads out in the snow. She loves, loves, loves snow! Once in Central Park, Eloise quickly builds a snowman. But not just any snowman! Only Eloise can enlist the help of room service at The Plaza, tailors and a carpenter to make her snowman complete! I'm afraid of what this will mean for us the next time my four year old goes to build a snowman!

What's more fun than building a snowman? My students loved reading about how she made her snowman. My students then were comparing how they made their snowmen. They can't wait now until we get more snow so they can make snowmen of their own. I love when my students get excited about reading. Eloise makes that happen!

Let it snow, let it snow! When it snows in Manhattan, the first hour after it stops is the most beautiful time. Eloise, age six, knows this. So as soon as she sees its snowing, she must go outside. Eloise and the Snowman is a great short story that is part of Simon & Schuster’s Ready To Read Series. Of course, Eloise must build the most wonderful snowman that central park has ever seen. With a full staff of the Plaza on hand, not only is this snowman dashing in his new outfit but he is equipped with a new house as well. Eloise takes it to a whole other level again.

If you live in the tri-state area, you may be wondering where is the snow? Your little ones may be asking constantly about building a snowman. My little ones are, that is for sure! Now we can live vicariously through Eloise in Eloise and the Snowman! Of course, she gets the snowman dressed as only Eloise would -- in the best designers of course! You simply must read this with your beginning reader!

Eloise and The Snowman is one of the cutest books on earth! The book is short and simple and tells a great story. This is one of the best books on the market for those level 1 readers. I truly enjoy reading the books as much as I did when I was a child. The story is fun and engaging. A fun read to get those children ready for the first snowfall!
