Good things come in twos, don't you know...Take a Trip to Connecticut

Part One...

Gentlemen & Ladies! Come watch the Parade!

Lime Rock Park’s “Vintage Race Car Parade Presented by Vintage Motorsport Magazine” is Thursday, August 30. The Race Car Parade starts at the track at 4:00 p.m. and ends, 17 miles later, at the green in the center of Falls Village.

The cars are then parked for display at the green, using the Falls Village Inn as the anchor – then the Street Fair and party starts!

The Race Car Parade Presented by Vintage Motorsport Magazine has already become a very popular “pre-historics” event – one of the highlighted community affairs that surround the track’s annual Labor Day weekend Historic Festival.

The Parade route (see below) goes through the heart of Lakeville – twice through Salisbury – and many of the storefront businesses are setting up tables and chairs for spectators. That means you “out of towners” and folks who don’t live right on the parade route can find a “seat” in town to enjoy the parade!

At the Street Fair in Falls Village, you’ll find food, ice cream, a live band, games and more. This is a fun, free and unique event the whole family can enjoy. Come on out!

Part Deux

(with apologies to Charlie Sheen. No, wait, he should be apologizing to us!)

Who Wants to Wave the Green Flag to Start a Race at the Historic Festival Labor Day weekend?

Our guess would be... a lot of you!

So that means we’re doing random drawings for – hold on to your shorts! – 22 winners.

We will draw the lucky 22 emails next Thursday, August 23.

All you have to do to enter is “reply” to this email (which should beinfo@limerock.com). It would be nice if you also typed in a phone number, in case there’s a CIFI (Catastrophic Internet Failure Issue).

Oh, one more [optional] thing when you reply to enter the drawing: If you could ask Sir Stirling Moss, HF30’s Honored Guest, one question, what would it be?

Note: Admission ticket to track is not included for winners of Green Flag drawings

Think vintage!
