We Want Your Vintage Sports Car in our Parade! Take a Trip to Connecticut to Lime Rock Park, Peachy's Favorite Track!

It's the Vintage Race Car Parade presented by Vintage Motorsports Magazine, with additional support proudly provided by Sharon Hospital, Salisbury Bank, and Elyse Harney Real Estate. Heading out from Lime Rock Park, the parade runs through Salisbury/Lakeville, ending at the Falls Village Street Fair, on the Thursday of next week.

Lime Rock Park is in its second year of this extremely popular "pre-event" event - one of our highlighted community affairs surrounding Lime Rock Park's annual Historic Festival.

And we would love if you could bring a car or cars for the Parade.

The people along the route - it's a smooth, and in some parts fast, 17 miles - love seeing this Parade through the local villages and towns. It's huge fun to be driving one of the cars in the Parade - and we guarantee you will enjoy every minute.

The date is Thursday, August 30, and the Parade starts from the front straight of Lime Rock Park at 4:00, ending in Falls Village about 20 minutes later (all the cars are parked for display on the closed-off village green), where the post-parade party and street fair is.

(Note: We have police escort, intersection control and following rescue vehicles.)

Because the Historics at Lime Rock Park is at its heart a vintage racing event, we want the Parade to be race cars and sports cars. We already have participation from many of our fine racing entries; now it’s your turn. Bring your classic or vintage sports car, pre-early 1970’s, and join the Parade! As an example, Model A Fords, Lincoln Zephyrs and '69 SS396 Chevelles are not appropriate, but a 60s Austin Healey, Jaguar XK 140 and a Porsche Speedster are.

Where: Lime Rock-to-Salisbury-to-Falls Village; 17-mile route, ending with cars on display and street fair (food, music, activities, etc.)
