The Spice Lab Italian Black Truffle Sea Salt is so delicious. Ok so Black Truffle sat is such a treat to use while cooking. I LOVE this salt. It brings the best of two worlds together - salt & black truffles. You don't need to use much - just a pinch and voila your dish is perfect. I personally love to use this salt on pasta. It ads a nice kick to it. Easy to use and makes every dish gourmet. This is a MUST in every persons kitchen!

I couldn't believe I had never seen anything like this before. I was so excited to try a new spice to help me flavor my food. It just so happened that this Italian Black Truffle Sea Salt came at just the right time. I was in the mood to grill a turkey burger on my indoor grill, but was tired of all the spices I had in my pantry. I sprinkled a little bit of this salt on each side and voila! The Company

For Christmas 2009, technology entrepreneur Brett Cramer wanted to share his new-found fascination with gourmet sea salts with his family and friends. Enjoying woodworking as well as being an avid gourmet cook, he handcrafted a wooden base out of scrap lumber to hold test tubes filled with exotic sea salts from around the world. The gifts were so popular that he was encouraged to begin offering his sea salt collections for sale – and that was the start of The Spice Lab.
The Spice Lab website quickly expanded as Brett continued to discover new sources and sea salt varieties from throughout the United States and far off locales. From Cyprus Citron Lemon Flake Salt, Bolivian Rose Sunset Salt and Persian Blue Diamond Rock Salt to Hawaiian Bamboo Jade Salt and Pink Himalayan Crystals valued for their therapeutic properties, every offering had a unique taste and tale. 
Throughout 2010, the business grew as the company added an array of smoked sea salts and salt collections and became a direct importer. Ending their dot.com business ownership in January 2011, Brett and his wife Jennifer along with a growing staff now devote their energies full time to building The Spice Lab and its retail distribution.
As a young computer store retailer in the 1980s, Brett took pride in offering the widest selection of every possible type of software, often bringing in games from Europe before they could be found in the United States. White Truffle Salt

Roasted Potatoes with Truffle Salt
1.5 to 2 lbs red potatoes cut into wedges
1 medium-sized sweet onion cut into small wedges
Olive oil
Italian truffle salt
Freshly ground pepper
Heat oven to 375 degrees
Put potato and onion wedges in zip lock bag. Drizzle with olive oil, seal and toss in bag to thoroughly coat vegetables. Remove from bag and place in single layer on roasting pan or baking sheet. Generously season with Italian Truffle Salt and freshly ground pepper.
Roast for about 30 to 40 minutes, turning potatoes occasionally until are nicely browned and fork tender.
