The Petite Peachy Panel Is Totally Wowed by the Hape Quadrilla Rail Set, Highly Recommended by Whom You Know! Santa Pack These Sets in Your Sleigh!

You would have thought that I was the biggest thing since sliced bread when my students walked into my room and saw the Quadrilla Rail Set. They couldn't wait for Fun Friday to begin. One of the skills we have been working on is problem solving and working together.
This rail set is a perfect addition to our class. Lately, several of my boys have become very bicker-y with each other and I was trying to find a way for them to work things out. I put them together on this rail set and just told them to build.
I have never seen the boys in my class work so well together as they did while trying to build something while using the Quadrilla Rail Set. They were so quiet, and so interested in what to build that it was unreal to see them work together. I even noticed the boys who were playing together talking about what they had made and what they want to try to build next time as we were walking out to the buses. Because I only let 6 at a time play at a time with my games, I had so many that asked if they could play with this rail set next time we got it out. One of the things I loved about watching my kids playing with this is how they were using their imaginations. With most of them having video games to play with or the TV to watch, I don't see much imagination during recess. This rail set is helping with that. I even had one group of boys that wanted nothing to do with the booklet that gives suggestions on how to put the rail set together. I will definitely be looking into purchasing more of these sets for my class.
While my son was in school, I set out the box containing the Quadrilla Rail Set by Hape Toys in our living room. He came in from school ready for the usual routine. He deposited his coat and backpack in the kitchen and headed into the living room for a little Disney Jr. before doing homework. The next thing I know he is shouting, "Wow! What's this? I've always wanted this! Let's open it!" I have to admit, I was pretty excited about it too! Yes, it has a million pieces (well, ok, not really a million) and lots of those pieces are little marbles that of course, end up rolling everywhere. That's ok though. All will be forgiven once you witness your child playing with this awesome product. We cleared off the coffee table and got to work. At first he just wanted to explore and wanted to figure things out for himself without any assistance. Then when I showed him the instructions and the pictures and explained what would happen if we set it up a certain way, he acquiesced and allowed me to help. There are many different ways to construct the Quadrilla Rail Set by Hape Toys. We tried a few different configurations before settling on the ultimate set-up! This toy is not only fun; it is educational. My son couldn't wait to show Daddy when he got home from work, and Papa when he came to visit and his Aunt this weekend...he was SO excited to build with them and to show them what this toy could do! The Quadrilla Rail Set has literally provided hours of fun for my son. I love it because it is fun for him, but is also challenging. This is a toy that will grow with your child and which will literally provide hours and hours of fun. My favorite moment with this toy thus far? I stepped out of the room to make breakfast after we had set up the entire set. When I peeked out in the living room to check on my boy, he had his construction vehicles, ladders, and "working guys" set up on the rails "working" while he played. I love the imagination of a child and this set will surely bring out the best in yours!
The Quadrilla Rail set was a bit challenging for my son. At 3 years old, he did not have the patience to allow us to construct any more than seen here below, but I know as he gets older he will become more adapted to such a set. I think children 6 or older may be able to do more building. He loved stacking the blocks and putting them together by color but to set it up to use the marbles appropriately was difficult. He placed all of the marbles across the small beam and enjoyed watching them roll. We counted the marbles as he placed them on one by one practicing his numbers as well. The green ramp was one of his favorite pieces as he enjoyed watching the marble increase it's speed as it rolled. He preferred to stack and build his own way rather than in a way that would allow the marble to make it from top to bottom. This was fine with me as grouping the blocks by color and counting were great exercises for him. The picture on the box certainly caught his attention and he was excited to get started. As a mom I am flexible with however he decided to use the blocks and marbles and found there were many learning opportunities utilizing this set. This set also had enough pieces for a few children to build together making it a great group project. Adult guidance will most likely maximize the younger child's experience with this set. One watch out in my home is having an infant also. For me it was important to clean up properly as the marbles are a very serious choking hazard and needed to be kept out of reach of my young infant. Overall, a wonderful set with many ways to keep children engaged at any age over 3.
Hape Quadrilla Rail Set is a spectacular children's toy. I love how much fun this set is for all children. So easy to put together. It is hours of endless fun. A wonderful activity for Adults to do with children. This is a perfect set to give as a gift. The parts are very well made. This set is very colorful and looks great when it is assembled. I love the craftsmanship. I haven't seen such a wonderfully made toy in years. For this holiday season this is the best item to gift. It comes in a handy box and you can keep and easily store all of the pieces. I love this product. This is a must have! Trust me when I say every child will be delighted when they see this box.

Hape Announces August Delivery of Quadrilla®

Committed to the Highest Quality of this Specialty Brand
Hape will begin the first shipment of Quadrilla in August, 2012. This revolutionary marble run design is not only owned but also manufactured by Hape, a German owned company. The intricately-machined rubber wood blocks, smooth birch rails and elaborate wood funnels are a hallmark of the quality of manufacturing produced by Hape.

“Customer response to Quadrilla has been off the charts,” said Maggie Qiu, Hape’s President. “With the launch at Toy Fair, Quadrilla is now available in over 50 countries,” she added. Earlier this month Hape announced that Quadrilla would be coming back to the Hape family. Hape acquired the Quadrilla brand and the patents for the design.

Qiu notes that an uptick in Hape sales is being driven chiefly by a rebranding effort and Quadrilla, which “has become a standard brand for the specialty market.” Qiu says: “I’ve seen a lot of toys come and go over the years. Nothing touches the quality of Quadrilla manufactured by Hape.”

Quadrilla's revolutionary approach to marble run design has truly set the industry standard for design innovation. Hape is happy to be part of the next chapter of the Quadrilla story. Hape will begin shipping four items by August 2012: the Quadrilla Basic Set, Twist Set, Rail Set, and the Twist & Rail Set.
