Breaking Peachy's Pantry News: The Annual Tre Olive Harvest from Peachy's Adopted Tree in Calabria, Italy!

Peachy made brussel sprouts with garlic:
If anyone saw the video footage of the late Mover and Shaker Mayor Koch standing in front of his bridge telling the world it's his bridge, that would be a good visual for you to think of Peachy Deegan telling everyone about her tree.  You all know about her big adoption:

The Harvest time is here and of course you know the Olive Oil is fantastic, recommended here:
You can even bathe with this beautiful stuff:

The olive oil from this adopted tree has been on a long journey that started last spring in the Tre Olive groves in Calabria. Throughout the year, they nourished and loved the trees as their parents did and their grandparents did before them. That love ended up in the tins of oil we received from the tree.  Olive Oil tastes better when it is made with love.

TRE Olive is a single estate extra virgin olive oil made solely from the Carolea olive variety, which is native to the Calabria region of Italy. Many olive oils are blends from multiple varieties and in some highly unfortunate cases a blend of “who-knows-what” from “who-knows-where.” At TRE Olive, they are clearly superior and committed to quality and they make olive oil from olives grown by their family, picked by their family and pressed in the family-owned olive mill, so they always know that their oil is of the highest quality and never blended with other oils.  We love it!

This year they included 3 tins of the “Primo” extra virgin olive oil along with 3 tins of the “Signature Estate” extra virgin. The difference is that the olives pressed for “Primo” are picked early in the harvest when they are still mostly green. They don’t pick all the olives so that later when the remaining olives have had time to ripen on the trees they can pick again for the “Signature Estate.” Both oils are extra virgin and made from olives from the same trees. “Primo” has a sharp, spicy taste and “Signature Estate” is smooth and buttery.

We KNOW you want your own tree too!  Get yours so you don't miss this exciting harvest next year!
